Evolution Dermatology + Wellness: the evidence, in screenshots
The short version
Evolution Dermatology + Wellness has already won the hard part: the best reputation in Boulder, a loyal patient base, and a strong Google Maps presence for its own name. What it hasn't won yet is the new front door, which is what this report documents. Your website currently tells Google a wrong fact about your services, gives the machines no readable label saying you're a dermatology clinic in Boulder, and doesn't show up when Boulder patients search for the exact cash-pay treatments you offer. And when we asked five major AI assistants the questions patients now ask them directly, your competitors got named over and over while Evolution came up once in ten answers. Everything below was captured live on July 8, 2026, and every screenshot is reproducible: run the same search or ask the same question and you'll see the same thing.
1. Your website advertises a service you don't offer
The claim: Evolution's homepage tells Google and the AIs that the practice offers IV therapy. It doesn't.
2. The machines can't tell you're a dermatology clinic in Boulder
The claim: the site's machine-readable data says only "this is an organization with a website." No clinic type, no address, no phone, no hours, no services.
3. The front door looks unmaintained to both people and machines
The claim: the footer of every page still says Copyright 2022, and the site has no llms.txt file for AI crawlers.
4. Boulder's money searches: competitors win, Evolution is absent
The claim: for the four searches that bring in cash-pay cosmetic patients, Evolution appears in none of the winning results. Once, on "botox boulder," it shows up at position 17, far below where anyone actually looks.
These are live Google results retrieved July 8, 2026, geo-located to Boulder, Colorado, exactly as a Boulder patient would see them. The first three entries on each list are the "map pack," the map-with-three-businesses box Google shows at the top for local searches. The sting in this section: on the independent rating site MedSpa Scout, Evolution is literally the highest-rated med spa in Boulder (5.0 stars, 160 reviews). The reputation already won the category. The visibility never showed up to collect.
5. When patients ask the AIs, competitors get recommended and Evolution doesn't
The claim: asked the two questions Boulder patients now put to AI assistants, the five major AIs named Evolution in one answer out of ten. Competitors were named in all ten.
On July 8, 2026 we put the same two questions to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Grok through their official interfaces for programs (the same models that power their public apps). Every card below shows the AI's answer word for word: nothing was edited, shortened, or rearranged. Yellow highlights are competing Boulder practices the AI volunteered on its own; green marks the one place Evolution appears. The honest tally: Perplexity, the one AI that searches the live web before answering, mentioned Evolution once (on the med spa question). The other nine answers recommend your competitors and don't mention you at all. That matches our deeper 50-question June measurement, where Evolution was named by one of five AIs while two competitors were named by all five.
Question 1: "Who would you recommend for a dermatologist in Boulder, Colorado?"
Question 2: "What is the best med spa in Boulder?"
What we'd do about it
Every item on this list attacks something documented above, and most of it is fully within our direct control (no waiting on third parties):
- Fix the wrong fact first. Correct the meta description (remove IV therapy, say what you actually are: medical and cosmetic dermatology plus med spa services in Boulder). The corrected wording is already drafted.
- Give the machines your ID card. Install complete MedicalBusiness and MedSpa structured data: clinic type, address, phone, hours, services, and your team's credentials. The corrected data file is already built and deploys in week one.
- Build the pages the money searches are looking for. Boulder-specific treatment pages (Botox Boulder, Lip Filler Boulder, Laser Hair Removal Boulder) written for patients, with the VIP Membership as the offer, so the four searches in section 4 have an Evolution page to land on.
- Repair the on-page basics. Current copyright year, one proper headline per page with Boulder in it, an embedded Google map, an llms.txt file for the AI crawlers.
- Get the corroborating web talking. Build out the third-party footprint the AIs actually read: Yelp, RealSelf, and local editorial roundups, plus claiming and correcting the stray listings with wrong data. This is the slow, compounding work that moves AI recommendations over the following months.
- Measure it monthly, in the open. Re-run the same AI questions and the same Boulder searches every month and send you the tally, so you can see movement (or the lack of it) and stop any time it isn't working.
One honest caveat, on the record: items 1 through 4 are fixes we control completely and can ship fast. How quickly the five AIs re-read the web and update their recommendations is not under anyone's control, which is exactly why item 6 exists. We promise the inputs and the measurement, never a specific AI's behavior by a specific date.

Google results were retrieved geo-located to Boulder, Colorado (one directly from google.com, four via the DataForSEO search API, which returns Google's live results for a chosen location). AI answers are verbatim API responses from each company's current model, rendered into the labeled cards shown; no response text was edited. Companion document: the full opportunity assessment.
