Ship Plan: MVP + Distribution Across All Projects

The living MVP + distribution dashboard  ·  Updated 2026-06-06

Diagnosis (still true, but improving fast): research-to-ship ratio was too high. This update: roughly four weeks of shipping is now logged. The houses got built. The doors are mostly still closed. Read the next section first.

UPDATE: where things stand 2026-06-06

The ONE thing that matters now

SmartStrongAlive launches June 20, 2026 (Annette moved it out two weeks on 2026-06-06; not launching early). smartstrongalive.com is live, the deep-teal EKG brand palette is locked, 17 articles are drafted, and the HeyGen avatar pipeline is built. The only thing between "built" and "launched" is publishing the first issue to the Substack (annettethompson1969.substack.com, the permanent subdomain, with smartstrongalive.com mapping to it). What remains is to finalize the first issue and record the HeyGen calibration clip so it is launch-ready by June 20. The first issue publishes on June 20, not before.

What shipped since May 10 (the gap is closing)

Real, dated wins. Infrastructure has shipped beautifully:

  • annettethompson.com redesign live on Cloudflare Pages (2026-05-10), now the umbrella hub with a password-gated research portal, a rebuilding section, a trip section, and a menopause-research report page.
  • smartstrongalive.com live on Cloudflare Pages (2026-05-18). Brand palette locked 2026-05-29. 17 draft articles. HeyGen pipeline built.
  • seobeliever.com DNS live, confirmed HTTP 200 (2026-05-29). Article 1 "The Citation Gap" drafted (~3,200 words). 7-expert content panel done; Week 1 production plan locked (5 articles).
  • nottoooldforai.com live with SSL on Cloudflare Pages (2026-05-17). 8 pages shipped. Issues #1 and #2 drafted.
  • vitalency.pages.dev full B2B sales site live (2026-05-10). Hero/CTA copy optimized via autoresearch (winning variant scored 76.8, locked 2026-05-28). vitalency.com owned; custom-domain attach pending.
  • AjijicRelocationGuide: ~26,000-word manuscript shipped, [email protected] live, Cost of Living Calculator across 48 pages, multiple checklist pages, Privacy + ToS draft, 46 real-estate agents researched (2026-05-17 session).
  • R2 podcast infrastructure live: 25 deliverable episodes + 23 Rebuilding episodes published with player pages.
  • MyExecAssistant: DNS automation script shipped (works for all future domains), remote-control mothership configured, R2 podcast scripts shipped.
  • MenopauseResearch: fully autonomous weekly pipeline now auto-running (Mondays 7 AM), publishing dated reports to the hub.
  • April (VPS agent) now exists as an always-on counterpart, publishing the daily YouTube digest to the site.

What is built but NOT yet published (the real gap now)

This is the honest read, and it is the whole game from here:

  • SmartStrongAlive Substack: 17 articles drafted, zero published. Launch set for June 20, 2026 (moved out two weeks).
  • NotTooOldForAI Substack: account not yet created; Issues #1 and #2 sitting drafted.
  • SEO Believer Article 1 "The Citation Gap": drafted, awaiting Annette's voice review before publish.

We shipped the houses. We have not opened the doors. The guardrail that matters now (ship each issue within 21 days of draft) is running down: the oldest drafts are closing in on three weeks unpublished. The fix: ship the surfaces that ARE ready now (NotTooOldForAI Substack, SEO Believer Article 1), and lock SmartStrongAlive for its June 20 launch.

Where we are in the original timeline

Original phase Window Status as of 2026-06-06
Phase 1 May 11 to 24 Done. The Saturday sites were finished and shipped.
Phase 2 May 25 to Jun 7 Infra done, launches finishing now. Sites are live; the Substack launches are the open item, and SmartStrongAlive's is set for June 20.
Phase 3 Jun 8 to Jul 5 Starts now. Publishing cadence + social rhythm + first YouTube. This is the focus shift.

TL;DR: the standing discipline

  1. Don't launch everything. The phase sequence caps active builds so quality stays high. Infrastructure is mostly built now; the job shifts from building to publishing.
  2. 3 Substacks, not 15. NotTooOldForAI (nottoooldforai.substack.com, account still to be created), SmartStrongAlive (annettethompson1969.substack.com, custom domain smartstrongalive.com, launching June 20), and ProteinFirstRecipes (proteinfirstrecipes handle, restored to the sanctioned set 2026-05-19). Every other project feeds these or publishes on its own site.
  3. 3 YouTube channels, not 12. NotTooOldForAI (talking-head + screen-share), SmartStrongAlive (women's health + longevity, English, HeyGen-produced), and MenopauseContentRepurposer (Spanish-language OB/GYN content). Every other project repurposes short clips from these or gets no video.
  4. One decision touch per project per week. Charlie does the rest.

Step 1: active project inventory

Grouped per the current registry (refreshed 2026-06-01). Scores are the 8-criterion composite. Renames since v1 are noted inline.

COMPLETELY SEPARATE from SmartStrongAlive (which is Annette's own content). Mexico is the pilot.

  • RecipeMemoir (26): renamed from PaprikaRival. Next: generate logo via Ideogram; deploy the site/ build to CF Pages. Do not park (Annette uses Paprika daily).
  • ProteinFirstRecipes (24): renamed from ProteinForward, restored. Next: claim proteinfirstrecipes Substack handle + register domain; publish first issue. Blockers cleared 2026-05-29.
  • ChurchConsulting (TBD): register evangelicalai.org + .com (~$26/yr, ratified). Phase 4 to 5.
  • AIMusicCreation (TBD): 4 brand/strategy decisions unresolved; Phase 5 to 6.

Step 3: bandwidth realism and re-baselined phases

You have 40 to 60 productive hours/week. The job has shifted from building to publishing. Phases 1 and 2 are essentially complete; the table below marks actuals.

Phase 1 (May 11 to 24): ship what's already built. STATUS: DONE.

The Saturday sites were finished. Vitalency, NotTooOldForAI, AnnetteThompson, and SmartStrongAlive all reached live URLs. The one item that slipped: the NotTooOldForAI Substack account was never created, so Issue #1 did not publish.

Phase 2 (May 25 to Jun 7): new sites + Substack launches. STATUS: INFRA DONE, LAUNCHES FINISHING NOW.

Project Planned Actual 2026-06-06
AjijicRelocationGuide Stripe + legal + hello@ hello@ + 48 pages shipped; Stripe + attorney review still open
SEOBeliever Hero + services + Article 1 Site live; Article 1 drafted, awaiting voice review
BoneVoyageRevival 8 decisions + schema sprint Plan shipped; now executing page classification
SmartStrongAlive Site + Issue #1 Site live; Issue #1 set to publish June 20

Phase 3 (Jun 8 to Jul 5): publishing cadence + first YouTube. STATUS: STARTS NOW.

This is the focus. The whole portfolio pivots from "build the site" to "publish on a rhythm."

Project What ships in Phase 3
SmartStrongAlive First 4 issues live; HeyGen calibration clip recorded; YouTube channel opens
NotTooOldForAI Substack created; Issues #1 and #2 published; YouTube channel launches (3 videos in 4 weeks)
SEOBeliever Articles 1 to 4 published; first RankGridEngine client deliverable
ProteinFirstRecipes Substack claimed + first issue
Reddit + Friendly Gringos Weekly answer cadence + cross-post quartet (Annette-voiced, Charlie-drafted)
RecipeMemoir Deploy site; lock product thesis

Annette hours: ~16 to 20/week. Charlie hours: ~35 to 40/week.

Phase 4 (Jul 6 to Aug 2): iteration + monetization

Conversion optimization on real data; apply Ramanujam pricing where in flight; PR + guest-spot outreach (Mel Robbins, Wiser than Me, Sixty and Me, Oldster, Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, Maintenance Phase); Substack-to-Substack cross-rec cluster (Queenager, Midlife Renaissance, Ramona at Midlife, Liz Gilbert).

Phase 5 (Aug to Oct): Tier 2/3 projects ship

ChurchConsulting (evangelicalai.org) launches; Vitalency first paid engagement; YouTubeIntelligenceFeed productized landing + Stripe; AIMusicCreation first channel public.

Phase 6 (months 7 to 12): tools + niche expansion

DesktopToVoice pipeline; RecipeMemoir build out chosen thesis; quarterly keep/archive/merge/delete review of dormant projects.

Step 4: decision-anchor table (the living dashboard)

This is what gets checked every week. Sorted by score. "First action" reflects 2026-06-06.

Total Annette hours/week (Phase 3): ~25, comfortably inside the 40 to 60 envelope. Total Charlie hours/week (Phase 3): ~80, within parallel-agent capacity.

Step 5: anti-overresearch guardrails (binding rules)

These kill the research-to-ship gap. A scorecard line is added for each, honest as of today.

  1. MVP-1 ships in 1 day max. Holding. Sites are shipping.
  2. No more than 2 active builds per week. Holding.
  3. Research time capped at 20% per week. Mostly holding, though new tooling (rank-grid, hidden-gem mining, KB) absorbed real time. Worth it if it feeds the brands; flag if it does not.
  4. Each Substack issue ships within 21 days of draft. AT RISK. This is the gap. SmartStrongAlive has 17 drafts and zero published; NotTooOldForAI has 2 drafts and no account, and the oldest drafts are closing in on the 21-day line. Closing this is the priority while SmartStrongAlive is prepped for its June 20 launch.
  5. Each social channel posts >=1 per week or pauses. Pending until the publishing rhythm starts.
  6. One decision touch per project per week. Holding.
  7. Weekly "ship debt" review (Sundays): if an MVP has not progressed in 14 days, kill or shrink it.
  8. 2-deliverables-or-park rule: 30 days with no real deliverable drops a project to archive. Applied.

The 1 guardrail to commit to RIGHT NOW

This week: create the NotTooOldForAI Substack and publish Issue #1, and publish SEO Believer Article 1. Lock SmartStrongAlive for its June 20 launch.

The research piles are within one draft cycle of being real published artifacts. The sites are live. The only thing left is to hit publish.

Step 6: what Charlie is doing this week

In order of leverage:

  1. SmartStrongAlive launch prep (June 20): finalize the first issue and record the HeyGen calibration clip so it is launch-ready; stage the cross-promo from annettethompson.com.
  2. NotTooOldForAI Substack: stand up the account, publish Issues #1 and #2, wire the subscribe widget on the site.
  3. SEO Believer Article 1 publish the moment the voice review lands; queue Article 2.
  4. AjijicRelocationGuide: deploy the signup Worker + wire email capture; package the Privacy/ToS for attorney review.
  5. Vitalency: deploy the optimized landing page + attach vitalency.com.
  6. BoneVoyageRevival: run the 1,117-page classification in the background; remove the exposed SQL backup.
  7. Dashboard maintenance: update this table after every shipped action.

What's deliberately NOT in this plan

  • No standalone Substack for projects whose audience does not read newsletters: AjijicRelocationGuide, SEO Believer, Vitalency, BoneVoyageRevival, ChurchConsulting, all tools.
  • No YouTube channel beyond the three: NotTooOldForAI, SmartStrongAlive, MenopauseContentRepurposer (Spanish). AIMusicCreation channels wait for Phase 5 to 6.
  • No TikTok investment unless the format feels fun. The audience lives on Substack + LinkedIn + Reddit + Instagram + Pinterest.
  • No sprawl into the 15+ new tools as public products. The engines feed the brands; they do not each get a site, a Substack, and a channel.

Authored by Charlie 2026-05-10. Updated 2026-05-19 (active projects only). Re-baselined 2026-06-06 to current reality: domains live, renames applied (PaprikaRival to RecipeMemoir, ProteinForward to ProteinFirstRecipes, YouTubeIntel to YouTube Hidden Gem Mining), Substack facts corrected, new engines folded into Tier 4/5, and the publishing gap surfaced as this week's whole job. SmartStrongAlive launch moved to June 20 per Annette 2026-06-06.
