The verified headline number

This resolves the deck-versus-verbal ambiguity. The data backs the deck figure, not the verbal "0 to 69."

  • The first Ahrefs reading is DR 0.9 in December 2019. Rounded, this is the "DR 0.8" the deck cites. The number is real.
  • The peak is DR 62.0, reached in June 2023. The deck's "62" is exactly correct.
  • The verbal "0 to 69" is not supported. The domain never reached DR 69 in Ahrefs history. Use 0.9 to 62. It is the verifiable figure.

Method note (transparency on truncation)

Bone Voyage Dog Rescue has closed, and after closure the domain went idle. With no new content or link acquisition, the metrics declined from their peaks (DR drifted from 62 back to roughly 35 by May 2026, and keyword count fell off sharply). That decline reflects the wind-down, not the work.

Each chart is intentionally shown growth to peak only, ending on each metric's peak date. This is the active operating period, the window in which the SEO results were produced. The post-closure downslope is deliberately not plotted. The full series (including the decline) is preserved in the raw JSON under each metric's series_full key, so nothing is hidden.

Ahrefs plan limitations encountered

  • The dedicated keywords-history endpoint returned HTTP 403 (not on the current plan). The keyword growth curve was built from the per-date site-explorer/metrics endpoint at semiannual intervals instead. Clean growth curve at lower granularity, appropriate for a multi-year showpiece chart.
  • DR and referring-domains history were available at full monthly granularity with no limitation.
  • All other endpoints used returned HTTP 200.

Files produced (in the SEOBeliever project)

  • research/bonevoyage-ahrefs-history.json (full and truncated series)
  • research/bonevoyage-ahrefs-history.csv (long format: metric, date, value)
  • research/bonevoyage-graphs/ (all PNG charts, brand palette)
  • research/build_bonevoyage_graphs.py (re-runnable generator)
