The one-sentence strategy

Publish 1-2 articles per week to the newsletter, then immediately syndicate each article across four social channels using the article's built-in quotable line as the caption and its GEO target query as the hashtag anchor. The articles are already written (57 ready); the posts write themselves.

Content phase sequence

Don't post randomly. Move through three phases in order: start with permission and identity, then shift to utility, then lean into emotion and family content (which shares the hardest).

Phase 1: Weeks 1-4

Permission + Identity

Lead with the "I'm 57 and I build software" and "you're not too old" pieces. The goal: make Liz feel seen and give her permission to try. These anchor who this newsletter is for.

Phase 2: Weeks 5-12

High-Utility Life

Publish the retirement, travel, health, money, and everyday-life AI articles. These are the "I can actually use this tomorrow" pieces that convert browsers into subscribers.

Phase 3: Ongoing

Emotion + Grandkids

The 14 grandkids articles are the most shareable content in the library. Mix them in after Phase 2 builds the base. These get forwarded. They grow the list.

Channel cadence

Channel Frequency Format + notes
Facebook Group
Friendly Gringos (65k)
2-3x / week Paste the quotable line + a 2-sentence hook. Link to the full article on nottoooldforai.com. This is the warmest, most direct-response audience. Don't oversell.
Instagram 4x / week Quote graphic or carousel from the article's quotable line. Caption = hook + the "short version" compressed. Link in bio to Substack. Reels clips from the HeyGen videos.
TikTok 4-5x / week Repurpose HeyGen avatar video clips (cut to 45-90s). Add captions. The GEO target queries from each article's metadata become the hashtag strategy.
X / Twitter Daily One quotable line per day, no link. Occasionally thread 3-4 truths from an article. Low-friction, high-volume signal channel.
Caption shortcut: every article already has a [QUOTABLE] line and a GEO target query baked in. The quotable line is the social caption. The primary target query (stripped of question marks) is the hashtag anchor. You don't need to write new captions from scratch.

Content cadence summary

  • Newsletter (Substack): 1-2 articles/week, Tuesday or Wednesday mornings
  • Site (nottoooldforai.com): Article pages publish same day as newsletter
  • Facebook Group: Post link 2-3 days after newsletter send (avoids the "reads like an ad" timing)
  • Instagram + TikTok: Video clips from HeyGen pipeline (see Video Plan); post 3-5 days after article publishes
  • X: Quotable line the same day the article publishes
