Keyword Gap Audit, 17 Sites

Seventeen sites, three real competitors each, and an honest split between the gaps worth chasing and the ones that only look big.

Prepared 2026-08-08

This is a gap pull: for each of your sites, the keywords your real competitors rank for and you do not. Seventeen sites, three competitors each, every gap scored for whether it is actually reachable at your current authority rather than just large.

Eight sites were excluded at your request: SmartStrongAlive, Protein First Recipes, NotTooOldForAI, ajijic.org, annettethompson.com, Vitalency, SponsorLab and bobmanthy.com. Also excluded were the eleven domains that serve nothing, the redirect mirrors, and the parked Pages projects.

Run on August 8, 2026, against the DataForSEO Labs and Google Ads indexes, United States, English. Read the measurement notes at the end before acting on any single number: several of the biggest figures in these tables mean less than they look like.

Where to spend your effort

Ordered by what will actually return something, not by search volume. Volume without reachability is a trap, and several of the largest numbers in this audit are exactly that.

Start here

These four have real volume, weak incumbents, and a direct line to money or mission. If you only do one thing this quarter, do the top of this list.

testosteroneinwomen.com. Your decision to keep SmartStrongAlive off the menopause terms changed this site's position more than any other single call in this audit. The broad menopause, hot-flash, brain-fog and clinician-finding clusters are now entirely this domain's to own, which takes it from roughly 25,700 searches a month to about 147,100, at difficulty 1 to 39. The sharpest piece is still testosterone dosing and protocol detail (3,300 searches, best competitor positions of 34 to 95), which is open precisely because institutions will not publish dose-level specifics for an off-label use. That is exactly the ground where your own research plus firsthand experience beats an institution, so lead with it and let the bigger symptom clusters carry the traffic.

seobeliever.com. Consolidating the clinic marketing business here made this the strongest commercial property in the portfolio, and it now has two engines. The new one is 5,280 searches a month of pure hire-me intent at difficulty 1 to 21, moved over from menopausepracticegrowth.com, led by "healthcare seo agency" (1,600 a month at difficulty 3) and carrying clicks worth $46 to $134 apiece. The original one is free technical validator tools, roughly 29,400 searches at difficulty 10 to 45, in a market where the obvious terms run 72 to 100, and each tool is a check your audit engine already performs, so those pages are wrappers on code you have written. Traffic from the tools, revenue from the vertical pages, and the audit product sitting between them as the thing both convert into.

bonevoyagedogrescue.com. Skip the gap list and refresh six pages. Thirty-four keywords are stranded at positions 16 to 30, and they map to only six URLs (one page holds fourteen of them). Two refreshes move twenty-three rankings. This is the cheapest traffic in the entire portfolio, and it is the only site of yours with authority already banked.

househelperhub.com. About 1,470 searches a month of straight hire-me intent in Boulder, and both local incumbents are genuinely small (13 and 26 ranked keywords, 53 referring domains). The surrounding towns are wide open, roughly 940 more searches where the best competitor sits at positions 74, 76, 33 and 23, which means nobody has built those pages at all.

outdoorboulder.com. The best-hikes pillar, a 14,800 group at difficulty 1 to 5, held by Visit Boulder with a single hub page carrying 16 referring domains. This is also the only one of your five Boulder sites with any measurable footprint, so it has the least distance to travel.

Strong second wave

Real opportunities that need a page built rather than a page fixed. Worth starting once the first tier is moving.

tasteboulder.com. The best-restaurants pillar, a 12,100 group at difficulty 2 to 22, currently held by one magazine listicle sitting at positions 14 to 25 on a page with two referring domains. That is the softest incumbent found anywhere in this audit.

recipememoir.com. Gift intent, roughly 45,600 searches a month (gifts for grandparents, gifts for new parents, gifts for the person who has everything), with StoryWorth holding all of it at only positions 4 to 23.

boulderthingstodo.com. Downtown and Pearl Street, a 49,500 group at difficulty 4 to 34, where all three competitors rank. Note that the 135,000 weather group is marked unreachable on purpose: that search belongs to weather.com and the National Weather Service, and the low difficulty score hides an intent mismatch.

newtoboulder.com. Per-neighborhood guides, about 14,330 searches across genuinely distinct places, and the head of this market belongs to national moving companies, so no local relocation guide holds the ground. Correction, made 2026-08-08 while building these pages: the standout is Gunbarrel, not University Hill. "gunbarrel colorado" is a genuine 8,100 searches at competition 0.01. The 8,100 this report originally credited to University Hill belongs to the bare term "university hill", which is a generic US place name carrying navigational traffic for Syracuse and for Denver University Hills. Boulder-qualified volume there is about 1,060, across "the hill boulder" (720), "university hill boulder" (170) and "uni hill boulder" (170). University Hill still earns its page, just not as the flagship number.

buildamensgroup.com. The male loneliness pivot you proposed checks out, with one adjustment that matters. The epidemic terms are real volume on a soft SERP, but the intent is 99.5 percent people reading about a phenomenon, and the cluster is down 33 percent year over year. Point the site at the help-seeking demand next door instead, worth about 29,900 searches a month: a men's group directory ("men's group near me" is 1,600 a month at difficulty 3 and the only transactional term in the study, and no authoritative independent directory exists), divorce and grief groups for men at difficulty 2 to 8, and practical friendship how-to where "how to make friends as an adult" is 12,100 a month at difficulty 8. Use a loneliness explainer as the doorway that feeds them. Full working in the site section below.

Worth doing, smaller or slower

Genuine openings, but either the volume is modest or the payoff needs patience.

curecaninedisease.com. Canine ACL and ligament injury, 44,400 searches at difficulty 1 to 4, where the best competitor page sits at position 23 and nobody owns it. The defensible long game is named-cancer monographs, where difficulty drops from 29 on the generic term to 2 to 4 on osteosarcoma and hemangiosarcoma.

verityagentic.ai. National AI implementation, about 4,190 searches a month, including "ai integration services" at difficulty 1 with a $65.65 cost per click. Build the Boulder page too, but as a cheap moat and a Google Business Profile play rather than for traffic, for the reason in the findings below.

socialmapped.com. The audit product cluster, about 1,240 searches, plus an analytics ring worth roughly 9,000 more. The format that wins is a genuinely free instant audit tool, not a blog post about audits.

Fix the positioning before writing anything

For these four, more content is not the answer. Something upstream needs a decision first.

menopausepracticegrowth.com. Two problems compounded. The niche the domain is named after does not get searched at all: Google Ads reports no volume for "menopause clinic marketing", "marketing for menopause clinics", "hrt clinic marketing" or "menopause practice growth". And the business it could realistically serve, clinic and healthcare marketing, has moved to seobeliever.com by your decision, because one agency on one domain beats the same service split across two. That leaves this domain without a job. It is worth keeping as a positioning asset (a single page about your menopause-clinic expertise that links into seobeliever's vertical page) or retiring it outright, which would be the third retirement today and no bad thing. What it should not be is a half-maintained site targeting keywords that do not exist.

medspasboulder.com. Only 2 of 40 gap keywords are genuinely reachable: boulder skin bar (1,900 searches) and boulder dermatology (2,400). The big numbers are national "near me" and treatment vocabulary that a Boulder directory cannot win no matter how low the difficulty score looks. The medical spa marketing keywords passed through here briefly and now live on seobeliever.com, which is the right home for them, so this site keeps one job and one audience. That is a thin brief, and it is worth asking what this directory is for before investing more in it.

trainerbooked.com. The head terms are gone, held by Calendly, Square and Vagaro at difficulty 89 to 90. The reachable win is "scheduling software for small business" (1,300 a month, difficulty 10, $62.44 a click, no competitor above position 13). Worth knowing: healthcare scheduling is far softer, with "health care scheduling software" at 1,000 a month, difficulty 1, and $77.22 a click. Same booking engine, different vertical.

Findings that cut across the whole portfolio

These matter more than any single keyword list, because they change what you should build rather than just what you should write.

Correction: this audit measured rebuildingseminars.com wrong

The first version of this report named rebuildingseminars.com the single biggest opportunity in your portfolio, on the strength of roughly 20,500 monthly searches for divorce recovery support groups at difficulty 2 to 12. That was wrong, and Annette corrected it on August 8. Rebuilding fills in-person 10-week cohorts at Niwot and Denver Cherry Creek, about 40 people at a time, three or four times a year. Someone searching from Ohio cannot attend. National search volume is not the prize and mostly cannot convert, so ranking for it would be a vanity result. The gap-pull method compares you against competitors nationally, and for a business whose whole product is a room full of local people, that comparison measures the wrong thing. Worth knowing where else this bites: any local service business in the portfolio (househelperhub, medspasboulder, the Boulder directories) should be read local-first for the same reason, which the report does do for those. The recommendation stands only in its structural form, and even that is partly already built: DivorceCare wins "near me" through an indexable page per group, and the Rebuilding project already has boulder, longmont, lafayette and louisville location pages plus a local organic-growth strategy written in July. This site does not need a new plan from this audit. It needs its existing local plan executed, and the honest scoreboard for it is cohort seats filled, not sessions.

You have split across two thin domains what your competitors keep on one strong one

boulderdowntown.com and bouldercoloradousa.com show up as competitors for both boulderthingstodo.com and tasteboulder.com, because those publishers keep things-to-do and dining on a single domain. Yours are separate, and each one carries a fraction of the authority. This is the most consequential finding in the Boulder set. The good news is that all five Boulder sites currently rank for essentially nothing, so enforcing a topic boundary costs you nothing today, and that is exactly what was done on August 8 (see the settled collisions below). Waiting until there are rankings to protect is what would have made it expensive. The larger question of whether two of these domains should be one is still open, on purpose.

The eight Boulder collisions, now settled and written into the projects

You decided these on August 8, and they are no longer recommendations. Chautauqua Park (a 40,500 group) is legitimately both a trail and a landmark, so outdoorboulder takes trail intent and boulderthingstodo takes events and landmark, cross-linked, with neither publishing a general guide. Hiking (14,800) goes to outdoorboulder outright. Dining (27,100 and 12,100) goes to tasteboulder outright. Coffee (4,400) goes to tasteboulder, and it is the rule most likely to be broken, because a relocation guide has an obvious reason to write about where to get coffee. Downtown and Pearl Street (49,500) goes to boulderthingstodo, with tasteboulder keeping only "restaurants downtown boulder". Altitude (9,900 at difficulty 1) is built once on outdoorboulder, with newtoboulder linking to it. Boulder Reservoir and Boulder Beach (14,800) go to outdoorboulder as recreation. Gold Hill splits, with newtoboulder keeping the living-there page and boulderthingstodo running a separately titled visit page. Two standing rules sit alongside them: nobody chases the 135,000 weather head term, and medspasboulder owns anything under medical supervision while boulderthingstodo owns leisure spa and massage. The full charter is committed at BOULDER-TOPIC-BOUNDARIES.md, and each of the five project CLAUDE.md files now carries its own owns-and-never-publishes block, so a future session reads the boundary before it writes a page rather than rediscovering the conflict afterward.

What the Boulder boundary does not fix

Worth being straight about the limit of what was just decided. The boundaries stop the five sites competing with each other, which is real and was worth doing while there are no rankings to protect. They do not answer the structural finding underneath, which is that boulderdowntown.com and bouldercoloradousa.com beat you by keeping things-to-do and dining on one domain while yours are split across two thin ones. A clean boundary between two weak sites is still two weak sites. Whether boulderthingstodo.com and tasteboulder.com should merge is a portfolio decision rather than a keyword decision, it is deliberately left open, and it is recorded as open at the end of the charter so it does not quietly get forgotten.

Bone Voyage's authority is pointed at the wrong thing

A sweep across all 888 of its gap keywords found zero adoption, rescue, shelter, foster or Mexico terms. The entire surviving footprint is breed trivia, mostly pitbull and dachshund crossbreeds. The one site with real banked authority is spending it on content unconnected to why the organization exists. Worth deciding deliberately rather than by default: the breed content is what still ranks, so it is the lever you have, but nothing currently turns that attention into an adoption or a donation.

Ownership questions, all settled, and one business consolidated

You resolved every one of these while reading the first pass. Two are simple boundaries: SmartStrongAlive stays off the menopause terms so testosteroneinwomen.com can take them, which is the single most valuable decision here and is why that site moved into the top tier, and seobeliever.com owns the SEO audit keywords so the SEOAuditReport product does not compete with its own front door. The third went further than a boundary. Vitalency is retired, and rather than parking medical spa marketing on medspasboulder.com or leaving the clinic business on menopausepracticegrowth.com, the whole thing (5,280 searches a month of hire-me intent, difficulty 1 to 21, clicks worth $46 to $134) consolidated onto seobeliever.com as one agency with vertical pages beneath it. That is three properties resolved into one, and it turned seobeliever into the strongest commercial site in the portfolio.

The pattern worth noticing, since it happened twice in one afternoon

Both of the hard calls today were the same call: one business was spread across two or three domains, each too thin to win. In Boulder it is things-to-do and dining split across two sites while your competitors keep them on one. In clinic marketing it was medical spa marketing, healthcare SEO and menopause-practice positioning spread across Vitalency, medspasboulder and menopausepracticegrowth. You fixed the second one in about five minutes by naming a single owner. The first one is still open, and it is worth the same treatment. The general form: when two of your domains show the same competitor, you are competing with yourself, and the fix is always to pick one and make the others link to it.

Most of this portfolio is starting from zero

Eleven of the seventeen sites returned an empty result from the DataForSEO Labs index, meaning no measurable organic footprint in the United States at all. Only outdoorboulder, recipememoir, buildamensgroup, rebuildingseminars, househelperhub and bonevoyagedogrescue register anything, and of those only rebuildingseminars has page-one rankings, which are almost certainly brand searches. That is not a criticism, most of these sites are new. It does mean competitor lists had to be built from live search results rather than index data, and that difficulty scores above roughly 30 are aspirational for nearly everything here.

Site by site

testosteroneinwomen.com

The biggest reachable win is the testosterone and libido cluster (roughly 22,400 monthly searches) combined with the testosterone dosing and protocol detail cluster (roughly 3,300). Together they are low difficulty (1 to 34), all three competitors rank on them, and none of them rank well, because the honest answers require dose-level specificity that institutions will not publish for an off-label use. The perimenopause cycle-change cluster is larger at roughly 63,700 searches and equally reachable, but it is not what this domain is for and it collides with SmartStrongAlive. Start with testosterone and libido, where the domain name itself is the strongest ranking signal she owns, and treat the broad definitional queries ('what is menopause', 'hot flashes') as permanently closed: the live SERP for the seed query was Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, NHS, Johns Hopkins and NIH.

Where it stands today: 0 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.0, 0 keywords on page one.

DataForSEO Labs domain_rank_overview returned an EMPTY items array for United States / en. That is not a low score, it is no score: the domain has no measurable organic footprint at all. Everything below is a greenfield plan, not a recovery plan. The Labs competitors_domain call also returned nothing (a site with zero rankings has no keyword overlap to compute competitors from), so all three competitors are SERP-derived.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
letstalkmenopause.org 3,647 Yes live search results Independent nonprofit menopause publisher, surfaced in the top 10 for 'low libido menopause treatment' and cited inside Google's AI Overview for that query. Closest editorial peer: it wins on plain-language symptom explainers and firsthand framing rather than institutional authority, which is exactly the lane Annette can compete in. ETV 50,919, 1,579 keywords in the top 10.
menopausesolutions.org 2,075 Yes live search results Smallest of the three (ETV 20,521, 716 keywords in the top 10) and the most realistic near-term benchmark. A niche independent menopause blog ranking on ordinary long-tail content, so its wins are reproducible without institutional backing.
menopause.org 6,845 Benchmark only live search results ASPIRATIONAL BENCHMARK ONLY. The Menopause Society, the professional body, ranks 4th for 'low libido menopause treatment'. Useful for showing which topics are genuinely required in the niche, but on this YMYL health topic the broad definitional queries are locked up by medical institutions (Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, NHS, Johns Hopkins and NIH all held page-one slots on the seed query). Do not plan to out-rank it.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Testosterone, libido and desire in perimenopause /testosterone-and-libido-in-perimenopause-and-menopause (pillar), with child pages /low-sex-drive-in-perimenopause and /how-to-increase-libido-during-perimenopause 22,440 high This is the site's actual subject and the gap is wide open. All three competitors rank here, so the topic is genuinely required in the niche, but the best positions are mediocre: letstalkmenopause and menopausesolutions sit at 3 to 7 on the long tail while the head terms are held at position 28 to 60. Difficulty is 1 to 34, which is reachable. These are exactly the queries a knowledgeable independent site can win, because the answer needs protocol detail and lived experience rather than an institutional citation.
Testosterone protocol detail (dose, form, timeline) /testosterone-for-women-dosing-and-forms (cream vs gel vs pellets, starting dose, how long to feel it, what to test) 3,300 high The lowest difficulty and the highest differentiation in the whole audit. Difficulty runs 6 to 20 and the best competitor position on several is 34 to 95, meaning nobody is answering these well. Institutions will not publish specific dosing detail for an off-label use, which is precisely why the gap exists and precisely why Annette can fill it with rigor plus firsthand experience. Keep the medical-humility framing: her own story and her own reading of the research, not advice.
Perimenopause cycle changes (the non-hot-flash symptoms) /perimenopause-symptoms-nobody-warns-you-about with a dedicated /irregular-periods-in-perimenopause child page 63,700 high The biggest reachable volume block on the site. All three competitors rank on the cycle-change cluster (competitors_ranking 3), difficulty is 9 to 23 on most of it, and the best competitor position is 4 to 9, so these are ordinary content wins rather than authority wins. One caveat: 'irregular cycles perimenopause' at difficulty 39 is the harder twin of the same query, so build one strong page and let it carry both.
Brain fog and cognition /menopause-brain-fog (what it is, what helps, what the research actually shows) 8,200 high Difficulty 3 to 7 with two competitors already ranking at position 7 to 8, which is the cheapest win in the set. It also connects honestly to Annette's own APOE4-homozygous story and her reason for taking hormones seriously, so the page has something no competitor page has.
Hot flash practical relief /how-to-stop-hot-flashes (relief tactics, night sweats, how long they last) 33,900 medium Split verdict, and the split matters. The practical long tail (difficulty 18 to 29) is reachable. The head term 'hot flashes' at 49,500 searches carries difficulty 45 and is held by Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic and the NHS in the live SERP, so treat it as traffic that arrives via the long tail, never as a target page.
Finding a menopause-literate clinician /how-to-find-a-menopause-specialist (what to ask, how to tell if a doctor is testosterone-literate, what to bring to the appointment) 15,600 medium Difficulty 11 to 30 and competitors sit at position 2 to 34. High intent, because someone searching this is about to act. It is also the natural conversion page for the whole site and needs no clinical claims of its own, which keeps it clear of the YMYL trap.

Flags

  • No on-site cannibalization is possible today, because the domain ranks for nothing. This is the moment to design the architecture correctly rather than fix it later.
  • Real risk going forward: 'irregular periods perimenopause' and 'irregular cycles perimenopause' are the same intent with different difficulty (19 vs 39). Build ONE page, do not build both.
  • Same trap on 'menopause and brain fog' / 'foggy brain menopause' / 'brain fog perimenopause', and on 'menopause sex drive' / 'menopause and sex drive'. Each trio is one page.
  • RESOLVED, August 8 2026: SmartStrongAlive will stay off the menopause terms so this site can take them. The overlap that made the broad menopause, HRT, hot-flash and brain-fog clusters risky is gone, and all of them are now this site's to own outright. That single decision roughly quadruples what this domain can go after, from about 25,700 searches a month to roughly 147,100.

seobeliever.com

The biggest reachable win is the free technical validator cluster: robots.txt, sitemap, redirect and schema checkers, roughly 29,400 combined monthly volume at difficulty 10 to 45, in a vertical where the obvious terms sit at KD 72 to 100. It works because the difficulty is genuinely low, because competitors already rank there so the intent is proven, and because SEOAuditReport already runs every one of these checks, so each page is a wrapper on existing code that also demonstrates the paid product. Pair it with the white-label and ranking-report cluster, where 'white label seo report' sits at KD 13 with its only competitor at position 58 and the buyer is an agency rather than a browser. Be realistic about the timeline: this domain has no US organic presence at all today, and the head terms it would most like to own are the most contested in the industry, so the tail is not a consolation prize here, it is the only viable entry.

Where it stands today: 0 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.0, 0 keywords on page one.

True zero. DataForSEO Labs domain_rank_overview returned an empty items array for this domain in United States / en: no organic keywords, no ETV, no position distribution of any kind. The site has no measurable US organic presence at all. Every keyword below is greenfield. This matters for reading the difficulty column: the SEO tools niche is one of the most competitively optimized verticals on the web, and most of the high-volume checker terms sit at KD 72 to 100, which is unwinnable from zero. The reachable set is the low-KD technical validator tail, and that is where this file puts the weight.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
seoptimer.com not measured Benchmark only live search results SERP-derived, position 1 on the seed query 'free seo audit tool', which is precisely seobeliever's product category. The single most direct competitor in the set: same offer, same query space. Labs competitors_domain returned an empty items array for seobeliever, so all three competitors here are SERP-derived.
seositecheckup.com not measured Yes live search results SERP-derived, position 4 on 'free seo audit tool'. The most realistic target of the three: a single-product audit tool rather than a full SaaS suite, competing on the same free-checker terms. Where it ranks and the giants do not is where seobeliever has a path.
ahrefs.com not measured Benchmark only live search results ASPIRATIONAL BENCHMARK, NOT A TARGET. Position 6 on 'free seo audit tool' and the definitive authority in the vertical. Included to map the free-tool funnel strategy (ahrefs ranks its free checkers to feed paid signups, exactly the model seobeliever needs) rather than as anything to out-rank. Its keyword set also contains heavy off-topic noise, so it was filtered to SEO-relevant terms only.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Free technical validator tools (each one is already a check the audit product runs) One free interactive tool page per check, each gated-free and funneling into the full audit: /tools/robots-txt-checker/, /tools/sitemap-checker/, /tools/redirect-checker/, /tools/schema-validator/. Not articles. Working tools. 29,400 high This is the answer for a zero-authority site in a KD-90 vertical. Difficulty runs 10 to 45 here versus 72 to 100 on the generic 'seo checker' terms, and competitors already rank at positions 2 to 14, which proves the intent converts. Critically, every one of these is a check the SEOAuditReport engine performs already, so each page is a thin wrapper on existing code rather than new product work, and each one demonstrates the paid audit rather than merely describing it. This is exactly how ahrefs built its free-tool funnel.
Crawler and indexing education (definition terms the tools pages need anyway) /what-is-a-web-crawler/ and /how-googlebot-crawls-your-site/, both linking down into the validator tools above. 10,890 high Difficulty 14 to 43 with competitors at positions 7 to 11, and 'crawler mean' at KD 18 with 3,600 volume is the standout. Definition content is the cheapest way for a new domain to earn its first rankings, and this set sits topically adjacent to the robots.txt and sitemap tools, so the internal linking is natural rather than forced.
Audit report as a deliverable (feeds the product directly) /white-label-seo-report/ and /seo-ranking-reports/, both positioned at agencies and consultants who resell audits, with a sample report and pricing. 14,190 high The highest commercial intent in the whole gap set and the only cluster that sells the product rather than attracting general SEO readers. 'white label seo report' at KD 13 with the sole competitor stranded at position 58 is a genuinely open door, and the buyer, an agency reselling audits, is worth far more than a hobbyist. 'seo consultant' at 8,100 volume and KD 30 is the volume anchor. Small volumes, but these are the people who buy.
Platform and niche SEO (underserved commercial long tail) /etsy-seo-guide/ and /seo-for-lead-generation/, each ending in a free audit CTA. 9,490 medium Difficulty 5 to 22 with competitors stranded at positions 36 to 71, meaning the generalist SEO tools cover these badly. 'lead generation seo' at KD 5 is the lowest-difficulty commercial term found anywhere in this audit. Narrower audiences, but the competition is genuinely absent rather than merely beatable.
How-to SEO instruction /how-to-do-seo-for-your-website/ as a practical checklist whose every step links to the matching free validator tool. 24,000 medium Difficulty 26 to 44. 'serp' at 9,900 volume and KD 26 is unusually soft for a term this central to the vertical. General SEO theory is deliberately weighted below the commercial clusters above, per the brief, but this cluster earns its place by being the natural top of funnel into the tools.
Avoid for now: the head checker terms Nothing. Documented so the volume does not tempt. 43,900 low Difficulty 46 to 100 with seoptimer, seositecheckup, semrush and ahrefs holding positions 1 to 3. A domain with zero ranking keywords cannot enter this fight, and 'seo website' at KD 100 with three competitors on page one is the clearest illustration of why. Earn the tail first; these become reachable only after the validator tools have built real authority.

Flags

  • DECIDED, August 8 2026: seobeliever.com owns the SEO audit keywords. The SEOAuditReport product family does not target them and does not build competing pages. That makes this site the single front door for audit search demand, and the product becomes what an audit search converts into rather than a second thing competing for the same query.
  • DECIDED, August 8 2026: seobeliever.com also takes the ENTIRE clinic and healthcare marketing business, all 5,280 searches a month of it, moved here from menopausepracticegrowth.com. That includes medical spa marketing, which passed through medspasboulder.com for part of an afternoon and landed here instead. Vitalency stays retired. See the dedicated section below for what that means in pages.
  • Consequence to plan for: this site now has two distinct jobs, free SEO tools that earn traffic and vertical agency pages that earn clients. They support each other (a med spa owner who runs your free sitemap checker is a warm lead) but they need separate navigation and separate conversion paths. Do not let the tools section and the industries section blur into one undifferentiated services page.
  • No cannibalization possible today: the site has zero ranking keywords. All flags are preventive.
  • Largest risk in this build: the free tool page and an explainer article about the same check will compete. Decide up front that /tools/robots-txt-checker/ is the ranking page and any robots.txt article is supporting content that links to it, never a second contender for the same query.
  • The sitemap cluster has 5 phrasings (sitemap checker, check sitemap, check sitemap xml, sitemap test, generate sitemap) that are one tool. One page. Same for the 4 robots.txt phrasings and the 3 redirect phrasings.
  • Keep the product or pricing page off the 'seo audit' head term. It is KD 49 with competitors at position 1, so pointing the money page at an unwinnable query wastes the site's strongest internal link target.

The clinic and healthcare marketing business moves here, August 8 2026

This is the consolidation you decided on, and it is the biggest structural change in the audit. Every keyword below was previously assigned to menopausepracticegrowth.com. The numbers are unchanged, they came from that site's competitor pull, and they are reproduced here because this is now the domain that goes after them.

The reason for the move: menopausepracticegrowth.com is named for a buyer narrower than the one it actually serves, and for a phrase with no measurable search volume. seobeliever.com is geo-neutral, already sells services to businesses, and has a product (the audit) that a clinic owner can convert into on the first visit. One agency, vertical pages beneath it, rather than the same service split across two domains competing in the same results.

All 13 keywords below are bottom of funnel, meaning the searcher is looking to hire someone. Every one of them is reachable. Difficulty runs 1 to 21.

Keyword Searches a month Difficulty Best competitor position
healthcare seo agency 1,600 3 14
medical seo services 590 not measured 7

Two pages carry most of the value. /healthcare-seo/ targets the 4,270-search services cluster and should be a hard service page with pricing and a case study, not a blog post. Then one page per vertical under /industries/: medical spas, menopause clinics, weight loss clinics, medical practices. Each needs that clinic type's own economics on it (patient lifetime value, what a typical HRT or GLP-1 program is priced at, what a full panel costs to run), because that specificity is what separates you from a generic agency and it is the part a competitor cannot copy from your page.

Worth noting what these clicks cost if you bought them: clinic website design runs $134.31, medical spa marketing $67.68, medical practice marketing $46.53. At difficulty 1 to 4, this is the highest value-per-unit-effort found anywhere in the audit.

One cluster to consciously reject: the generic healthcare marketing agency head terms (about 17,580 searches across healthcare marketing agencies, medical marketing agency, healthcare digital marketing agency and similar). Cover them with one honest overview page that links down to the vertical pages. Do not build dedicated pages, because they are held by established agencies and the traffic they would bring is not your buyer.

And a boundary that matters now that this site does two things: nothing here targets consumer menopause or hormone queries. Those belong to testosteroneinwomen.com. This site sells to the clinic, that site talks to the patient.

bonevoyagedogrescue.com

The biggest reachable win is not a new article, it is a refresh. Thirty-four keywords sit at positions 16 to 30 across just six existing breed-mix URLs, and a DR62 domain with 1,187 referring domains should convert a meaningful share of those to page one with editing alone. After that, the pitbull-dachshund and Great Pyrenees crossbreed clusters are wide open, with competitors ranking at positions 2 to 6 on 14,800-volume terms at difficulty 2 to 7, and Bone Voyage has already proven it can rank this exact page format. The uncomfortable finding is strategic rather than technical: this domain has zero page-one keywords and zero adoption, rescue or Mexico keywords anywhere in its footprint or its gap set, so its authority is currently pointed entirely at breed trivia instead of at adoptions. Fix the decay first because it is nearly free, then decide whether the traffic is meant to serve the rescue or just exist.

Where it stands today: 180 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 270, 0 keywords on page one.

Severe decay confirmed. DataForSEO Labs domain_rank_overview returns NO pos_1_10 bucket at all: the distribution starts at pos_11_20 (2), pos_21_30 (23), pos_31_40 (34), pos_41_50 (32), pos_51_60 (22), pos_61_70 (23), pos_71_80 (16), pos_81_90 (17), pos_91_100 (11). Zero page-one keywords in the US index. is_lost 41, is_new 153, is_up 10, is_down 16. Estimated paid traffic cost 122.16. The 42 keywords still inside the top 30 map to only 6 URLs, and every one of them is a BREED-MIX article, not a rescue or adoption page. The site has no measurable adoption, rescue, shelter, foster or Mexico keyword footprint at all: a regex sweep for adopt|rescue|shelter|mexico|foster|stray|rehome across the entire 407-keyword head gap set and the 481-keyword mid-tail gap set returned 0 matches other than the potcake cluster. Because the site's surviving footprint is breed content, DataForSEO's competitor engine matched it against dog-content publishers rather than against other rescues, so this audit measures the content site Bone Voyage has become, not the rescue it is.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
dogster.com 191,863 Benchmark only index data Highest keyword overlap with Bone Voyage of any domain returned (115 intersections, avg position 23.2). Mid-size dog content publisher, not a household giant, but 191,863 keywords and 958,525 ETV put it well out of reach head-on. Useful as the topical map of what a dog content site is expected to cover.
wagwalking.com 208,467 Benchmark only index data 89 intersections at the best average position of the peer set (15.9). Strong on dog health and behavior, which is adjacent to the breed content Bone Voyage still ranks for. Aspirational benchmark rather than a beatable target.
dog-learn.com 16,953 Yes index data The genuinely beatable peer. At 16,953 keywords and 76,526 ETV it is roughly one twelfth the size of the other two, it only holds 15 pos_1 rankings, and it overlaps Bone Voyage on 62 keywords. A DR62 domain with 1,187 referring domains outweighs it on authority; this is the site to out-rank first.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Refresh the six decayed breed-mix pages (cheapest traffic in the audit) No new pages. Rewrite and re-optimize the six URLs that already rank: /weimaraner-pitbull-mix/, /mountain-cur-and-pitbull-mix/, /beagle-corgi-mix/, /doberman-husky-mix/, /doberman-cane-corso-mix/, /yorkie-husky-mix-of-two-beloved-breeds. Expand each to full breed-mix template (temperament, size chart, health, cost, grooming, is-it-right-for-you), add FAQ schema, update dates, and internally link them to each other. 30,980 high 34 keywords are already sitting at positions 16 to 30 on pages that exist. Six URLs carry all of them. Moving a position-20 keyword to position 8 costs one afternoon of editing and no new authority; writing a new article to reach the same place costs weeks. The weimaraner-pitbull page alone holds 14 of these keywords and the mountain-cur page holds 9, so two edits move 23 rankings. This is the single cheapest action in the entire audit.
Pitbull and dachshund crossbreed hub /pitbull-dachshund-mix/ as the anchor, plus /pitbull-mix-guide/ as a parent hub listing every pitbull cross. The dachshund-pitbull cross alone attracts nine distinct query variants that all deserve one page, not nine. 177,600 high Competitors sit at positions 2 to 5 on these, meaning the SERP is soft and a good page wins. Difficulty where DataForSEO reports it is 2 to 7. Bone Voyage already proves it can rank this exact page type: its existing weimaraner-pitbull-mix page holds 14 keywords despite being stale. This is the same template applied to a bigger cluster.
Great Pyrenees, shepherd and large-mix crosses /great-pyrenees-german-shepherd-mix/ plus /siberian-husky-golden-retriever-mix/ and /australian-shepherd-border-collie-mix/, each on the same breed-mix template. 118,400 high Best competitor positions of 3 to 21 on 14,800-volume terms. These are large working-breed crosses, which is exactly the dog a rescue actually rehomes, so the content supports the adoption mission rather than diverging from it.
Potcake and street-dog identity (the on-mission cluster) /potcake-dog-breed-guide/ covering what a potcake is, temperament, health, and adopting one, linked directly to the adoption funnel. 59,200 high The only keywords in the entire gap set that touch rescue at all. A potcake is a Caribbean street dog, the closest published analogue to the Mexican street dogs Bone Voyage rehomes. Difficulty is 1 to 5 and the best competitor position is 22, so the SERP is genuinely weak. This is the one cluster that converts traffic into adoption interest instead of just pageviews.
Adoption and rescue content that nobody in the peer set covers /adopt-a-dog-from-mexico/, /what-to-expect-adopting-a-street-dog/, /dog-adoption-cost-breakdown/, /international-dog-adoption-paperwork/. Requires fresh keyword research, since this audit could not measure it. 0 high Flagged deliberately with zero keywords because that is the finding. Not one adoption, rescue, shelter, foster or Mexico keyword appears anywhere in 888 gap keywords across two pulls, because the competitor set DataForSEO matched is dog-content publishers, not rescues. Bone Voyage is a rescue whose entire measurable search presence is breed trivia. No gap analysis against content publishers will ever surface the queries its actual adopters type, so this cluster needs its own SERP-first research pass against other rescue organizations.
Rare and regional breed identification /japanese-dog-breeds/ and /rare-guard-dog-breeds/ as list hubs, with child pages for thai ridgeback, karelian bear dog, finnish lapphund, jindo, presa canario and australian terrier. 162,800 medium Difficulty 1 to 10 with two or three competitors ranking each, which confirms the topic is required in the niche. Reachable but off-mission: it builds traffic and topical authority without feeding adoptions, so it should follow the four clusters above rather than lead.

Flags

  • No cross-page cannibalization detected. All 42 keywords still ranking in the top 30 map cleanly to 6 distinct URLs, with no two URLs competing for the same query.
  • Watch on build: the pitbull-dachshund cluster contains 9 near-identical phrasings (pit doxie mix, doxin pitbull mix, weenie dog pitbull mix and so on). Build ONE page and let it match all 9. Publishing a separate page per phrasing is the standard way this cluster gets cannibalized.
  • Same risk in the Great Pyrenees cluster: german shepherd pyrenees mix, great pyrenees german shepherd mix, pyrenees and german shepherd mix and great pyrenees and shepherd mix are one page, not four.
  • Existing /weimaraner-pitbull-mix/ will overlap the new pitbull-mix hub. Make the hub the parent and link down, rather than letting the hub target the same head term the existing page already holds.

househelperhub.com

This is the most winnable site of the five by a wide margin, because it is the only one where real search demand, real commercial intent and weak incumbents line up. The core Boulder cluster is about 1,470 searches a month of pure hire-me intent at $13.41 to $13.76 CPC, held by operators with only 13 and 26 ranked keywords and 53 referring domains. The even better opportunity is the surrounding towns, roughly 940 searches a month across Longmont, Broomfield, Louisville and Brighton, where the best competitor sits at position 74, 76, 33 and 23, meaning nobody has built those pages at all. Ignore the national 'near me' terms entirely and put the effort into a Google Business Profile plus one genuinely local page per town.

Where it stands today: 15 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 2.5, 0 keywords on page one.

The only one of the five sites with ANY organic footprint, and it is barely a footprint. 15 keywords, estimated traffic value 2.499, and the position distribution is entirely below the fold: 41-50 = 1, 51-60 = 1, 61-70 = 2, 71-80 = 5, 81-90 = 2, 91-100 = 4. Zero keywords in the top 40, let alone the top 10. All 15 are flagged is_new, so the site has just been discovered by Google and is being provisionally ranked. dataforseo_labs_google_competitors_domain returned an EMPTY items array with the filter organic.count > 50, so competitors are SERP-derived from the seed 'house cleaning boulder co'.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
cleaningfairies.com 26 Yes live search results A 25-year Boulder operator holding both the local 3-pack (position 3, 4.6 stars, 153 reviews) and organic position 10. Its entire ranked footprint is 26 keywords with volume >= 20, almost all Boulder-local. This is the true peer: a small local business ranking on local relevance, not on domain authority.
dandelioncleaning.com 13 Yes live search results Ranks organic #6 for 'house cleaning boulder co', serving Boulder County since 2010. Only 13 keywords above volume 20, and its backlink profile is 53 referring domains and 232 backlinks. That is a genuinely low bar to clear. It is the clearest evidence that the Boulder cleaning SERP is winnable with a modest, well-built local site.
maidpro.com 40 Benchmark only live search results ASPIRATIONAL BENCHMARK ONLY. A national franchise with a /boulder location page ranking organic #9. Included to map the national cleaning keyword universe and to show which head terms are franchise territory. Its national terms are not available to a single-market marketplace.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Funnel stage Priority Why
Boulder core local (BOTTOM of funnel, the whole ballgame) /house-cleaning-boulder/ as the primary money page, with the homepage supporting it. It must carry real Boulder pricing (the Reddit thread on this SERP quotes $280 for a 2 bed plus den, and Care.com reports an average posted rate of $23.00/hr in Boulder), named neighborhoods, and real cleaner profiles. A Google Business Profile is mandatory: this SERP opens with a 3-pack, not with organic results. 1,470 bottom high Every one of these six is confirmed by Google Ads with real volume (320, 320, 320, 170, 170, 170) and CPCs of $13.41 to $13.76, and every one is pure hire-me intent. Both local competitors rank for all six, which by the 2-or-more rule means this topic is genuinely required in the niche. Critically, the incumbents are small: dandelioncleaning.com holds position 6 to 9 on these with only 53 referring domains and 232 backlinks, and cleaningfairies.com ranks with 26 keywords total. Those are beatable numbers. Note the volume trend is negative (yearly -19% on the 320-volume terms), so the market is softening slightly, which is an argument for moving now rather than later.
Boulder County surrounding towns (BOTTOM of funnel, wide open) One page per town, same template as the Boulder page but genuinely rewritten per town: /house-cleaning-longmont/, /house-cleaning-broomfield/, /house-cleaning-louisville/, /house-cleaning-lafayette/, /house-cleaning-superior/, /house-cleaning-erie/. 940 bottom high The single softest set of keywords in the entire five-site audit. Best competitor positions are 74, 76, 33, 28, 23, 13, 52 and 56, meaning NOBODY has built a decent town page for Longmont, Broomfield or Brighton. The CPCs are higher than Boulder's ($18.45 in Longmont, $21.23 in Broomfield) because supply is thinner. For a marketplace that can dispatch cleaners county-wide rather than a single crew with one address, this is where the cheapest customers are. Only one competitor ranks for each, so these are not yet contested topics.
Service-type modifiers (BOTTOM and MIDDLE, second wave) /deep-cleaning-boulder/, /move-out-cleaning-boulder/, /recurring-house-cleaning-boulder/, each combining the service type with the city rather than competing nationally. 95,600 bottom medium The national versions are not winnable (difficulty 24 to 43 against national franchises), but the city-plus-service combinations are, and they carry the highest CPCs in the cleaning category ($16.06 for move-out cleaning, $14.33 for office cleaning). Move-out cleaning in particular is a high-ticket one-off job with urgent intent, and in a college town like Boulder it has strong seasonality around lease turnover. Build these after the city pages exist so they have something to link up to.
National 'near me' and generic head terms (BOTTOM intent, NOT AVAILABLE) Nothing. Documented so it is not attempted. 600,300 bottom low Enormous volume and completely inaccessible: 'cleaning near me' is 165,000 a month at difficulty 68, 'home cleaners services' is difficulty 84, 'cleaning firm' 71, 'cleaning company' 68, 'maid service near me' 57. These belong to MaidPro, Merry Maids, Molly Maid, Angi and Thumbtack. More to the point, 'near me' queries resolve by the searcher's location anyway, so a Boulder marketplace captures its share of them by winning the local pack, not by targeting the national keyword.
Competitor brand and other-city terms (ignore) Nothing. 74,400 bottom low The Chicago and New York terms come from maidpro.com's national franchise pages and are irrelevant to a Boulder marketplace. The Boulder brand terms are competitors' own names. Worth noting only as a tactic: 'two maids boulder' (70), 'merry maids boulder co' (50) and 'cleaning fairies boulder' (170) are competitor-brand searches where a well-judged comparison page can legitimately intercept, but that is a small and slightly aggressive play, not a priority.

  • The 15 keywords the site currently ranks for are ALL in positions 41 to 100 with an ETV of 2.499. That is not a penalty, it is a brand-new site being provisionally placed. Do not react to it as a problem.
  • 'house cleaning services brighton co' and 'house cleaning brighton co' are Brighton, Colorado, which is roughly 40 minutes from Boulder and outside Boulder County. Only build that page if the marketplace can actually dispatch cleaners there. Publishing a service page for a market you cannot serve is the fastest way to earn one-star reviews.
  • 'office cleaning services' (22200/mo) is commercial cleaning, a different buyer, different insurance requirements and different contract structure from residential home help. Do not fold it into the residential pages.
  • Overlap with Annette's other Boulder properties: boulderthingstodo.com, newtoboulder.com and tasteboulder.com all target Boulder searchers. A 'moving to Boulder' or 'new in Boulder' article on newtoboulder.com is the natural place to link house cleaning from, and internal linking between her Boulder properties is an asset none of the local cleaning competitors have. Per prior memory, note that these Boulder sites have no Google Search Console property verified, so any performance claim about them is modeled data, not measured.

outdoorboulder.com

This is the strongest site in the portfolio and still ranks nowhere: 15 keywords, none above position 21. The biggest reachable win is the best-hikes pillar at difficulty 1 to 5, where Visit Boulder holds four positions with one thin hub page carrying 16 referring domains, so a site with real per-trail detail should take it. Chautauqua is the second prize but must be split with boulderthingstodo.com before either writes a word. Two honest deductions: the hiking group is worth about 14,800/mo rather than the 59,200 a naive sum suggests, and the %boulder% filter hid every named-trail keyword, so the named-trail pull still needs running.

Where it stands today: 15 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 29.7, 0 keywords on page one.

dataforseo_labs_google_domain_rank_overview (target=outdoorboulder.com, United States, en) returned metrics.organic = {count 15, etv 29.715, estimated_paid_traffic_cost 71.305, is_new 15, pos_21_30 6, pos_31_40 5, pos_41_50 2, pos_51_60 1, pos_61_70 1}. Read the position buckets carefully: they START at 21, so there are ZERO keywords in the top 20 and zero in the top 10, and all 15 are flagged is_new. This is the ONLY one of Annette's five Boulder sites with any Labs footprint at all, and it is still effectively invisible: 29.7 ETV is roughly nothing. dataforseo_labs_google_competitors_domain returned EMPTY, so competitors are SERP-derived. NO Google Search Console property exists, so all of this is modeled DataForSEO data, not measured rankings. TWO METHOD CAVEATS. (1) Synonym clustering, and this one materially changes the headline: the four hiking-pillar keywords all report exactly 14800 with byte-identical monthly_searches arrays, so they are ONE query group worth about 14800/mo, NOT the 59200 you would get by summing them. Every total_volume below is the group figure. (2) The %boulder% relevance filter used on the broad pulls hides the entire named-trail category (Royal Arch, Mount Sanitas, Bear Peak, Green Mountain, Eldorado Canyon, Flatirons), which in THIS niche is a serious blind spot. A follow-up named-trail pull is required before this audit is complete. Note also that two geographic false positives reached the raw pull and were discarded, 'boulder creek santa cruz' (California) and 'boulder junction' (Wisconsin).

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
bouldercoloradousa.com not measured Yes live search results Visit Boulder, the official DMO, ranked #5 organic for 'boulder hiking trails'. Chosen as the primary target because of a specific weakness I verified: it holds positions 4, 5, 6 and 7 across the whole hiking group with ONE page (/outdoors/hiking/) carrying just 16 referring domains. A single thin hub page is holding the entire cluster, and that is beatable with real per-trail depth.
bouldercolorado.gov not measured Benchmark only live search results City of Boulder, ranked #7 organic, runs the Open Space and Mountain Parks trail database. 1,700 referring domains plus .gov trust. Aspirational benchmark: it defines the canonical trail list, which is useful as a content map, but it will not be outranked on official trail data.
alltrails.com not measured Benchmark only live search results Ranked #8 organic. Included as an ASPIRATIONAL BENCHMARK ONLY and explicitly not a target. It genuinely dominates this niche (288,062 ratings on its Boulder page per the SERP), so its Boulder trail keyword set is the best available map of what people actually search, but a new site will not take trail-name queries from it.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Best hikes in Boulder pillar /best-hikes-boulder (one pillar page targeting the whole 14800 group, with a sortable table: distance, elevation gain, difficulty, dog rules, parking and trailhead) 14,800 high The best opportunity on this site and one of the best in the whole portfolio. Difficulty 1 to 5, verified twice. The incumbent is Visit Boulder holding positions 4 through 7 with a SINGLE hub page carrying 16 referring domains and a bare bulleted trail list, which is exactly the kind of thin incumbent a focused site beats. Volume is the 14800 group figure, NOT 59200: the four variants share byte-identical monthly_searches. Worth noting the trend data is volatile (49500 in July 2025 down to 4400 in February 2026), so this is strongly seasonal and should be published before spring.
Chautauqua and the Flatirons trailhead /chautauqua-park (trailhead-first: parking and the seasonal shuttle, which trails start here, Royal Arch and the Flatirons Loop, difficulty ratings, dog rules) 40,500 high All three competitors rank, the strongest possible signal that this is mandatory content, and Visit Boulder holds position 4 with a general-interest guide rather than trail logistics. Difficulty 28 to 31 is a real step up from the hiking pillar but reachable. Volume is the single 40500 group figure across both variants. See the cannibalization flags: outdoorboulder should own the TRAIL intent here and boulderthingstodo.com the events and landmark intent.
Altitude and acclimatization /boulder-elevation (how high Boulder is, how much higher the trailheads and summits are, acclimatization and hydration advice for visitors hiking on day one) 9,900 high Difficulty 1, verified. Close to free traffic, and genuinely useful to the audience since altitude is the single most common reason a visitor's first Boulder hike goes badly. Volume is the shared 9900 group figure across both variants. Small caveat: the intent is partly a bare fact lookup that Google answers in a snippet, so treat the traffic estimate as optimistic and win it on the acclimatization advice.
Water recreation /boulder-reservoir (swimming, paddleboarding, fees, seasonal hours) 14,800 medium Difficulty 3. Genuinely open. Flagged as contested with boulderthingstodo.com in the cannibalization list, because summer-swimming intent is arguably a things-to-do query rather than an outdoor-recreation one. Pick one owner before writing.
National head terms, DO NOT CHASE NOTHING. Listed so the pass is deliberate and visible. 562,100 low 'hikes and trails near me' shows 550000/mo at difficulty 2, which looks like the find of the century and is not. It is a national geo-personalized query owned by AllTrails and Google Maps, Visit Boulder only reaches position 16 on it, and a Boulder-only site cannot serve a searcher in Ohio. Difficulty 2 is measuring link cost, not winnability. Marked unreachable deliberately.

  • REVERSE DIRECTION, the valuable one: CHAUTAUQUA PARK (40500 group, difficulty 28 to 31) appears in BOTH outdoorboulder.com's and boulderthingstodo.com's gap lists, and in tasteboulder's too. OUTDOORBOULDER.COM SHOULD OWN THE TRAIL INTENT (trailhead, parking, shuttle, Royal Arch, dog rules) and boulderthingstodo.com the visitor and events intent (concerts, dining hall, historic landmark). They must cross-link, not both publish a general 'Chautauqua Park guide'. This is the single most likely collision in the portfolio because the park is legitimately both things.
  • THINGS TO DO, severe risk: 'things to do in boulder colorado' (14800, difficulty 5) and the 49500 downtown/Pearl Street group surfaced in this site's gap list. BOULDERTHINGSTODO.COM OWNS THESE. The risk is real and specific: a hiking site naturally drifts into writing a general things-to-do roundup because its competitors are tourism sites. Marked reachable=false here on purpose.
  • DINING: 'boulder restaurants' and 'boulder colorado restaurants' (27100 group) reached this list only because Visit Boulder runs dining content. TASTEBOULDER.COM OWNS THESE. Zero claim for an outdoor site.
  • BOULDER RESERVOIR and BOULDER BEACH (14800, difficulty 3 and 7): genuinely contested with boulderthingstodo.com, since the intent is summer swimming rather than trails. RECOMMENDATION: give it to outdoorboulder.com as outdoor recreation, with boulderthingstodo.com linking to it. Either answer is defensible, but it must be recorded once rather than decided twice.
  • ALTITUDE (9900, difficulty 1): straddles outdoorboulder.com (acclimatizing before a hike) and newtoboulder.com (living at altitude long term). RECOMMENDATION: one page on outdoorboulder covering the visitor and hiking angle, newtoboulder links to it and covers only the long-term-resident angle. Do not publish two elevation pages on the same easy SERP.
  • WEATHER (135000 group, difficulty 14): appeared in this pull and in three sisters'. No site should chase the head term, that SERP belongs to weather.com and the NWS. outdoorboulder's legitimate version is trail conditions and seasonal access, which is a different page and a different query.

tasteboulder.com

tasteboulder ranks for nothing, but it faces the weakest incumbents in the whole portfolio, and that is the story here. The best-restaurants group (12100/mo, difficulty 2 to 22) is currently held by a single magazine listicle sitting at position 14 to 25 on a page with two referring domains, which is about as soft as a target gets. Build the ranked pillar and the individual venue pages with real menu prices, since that is the one thing no competitor publishes. The important unfinished work is that the relevance filter hid every menu and price keyword, so the site's actual differentiator is still unmeasured and needs a keyword_ideas run before content is committed.

Where it stands today: 0 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.0, 0 keywords on page one.

dataforseo_labs_google_domain_rank_overview (target=tasteboulder.com, United States, en) returned status 20000 with an EMPTY items array: no measurable organic footprint in the Labs index. dataforseo_labs_google_competitors_domain also returned empty, so competitors are SERP-derived. NO Google Search Console property exists for this site, so all of this is modeled DataForSEO data, not measured rankings. THREE METHOD CAVEATS THAT CHANGE HOW YOU READ THE NUMBERS. (1) Synonym clustering: DataForSEO assigns a shared GROUP volume to near-identical queries, and the five 'best/top/good restaurants' variants all report exactly 12100 with byte-identical monthly_searches arrays, as do the three 27100 restaurant variants. They are ONE query group each. Summing them would overstate the prize about 5x, so every total_volume below is the group figure, not the sum. (2) The %boulder% relevance filter was required to stop volume-ordering from returning national noise (an unfiltered test pull returned 'apparel stores near me' at 1,000,000/mo and 'gluten free restaurant' at 74,000/mo). It costs us any Boulder-relevant keyword lacking the literal word 'boulder', including bare restaurant names. (3) Consequently ZERO menu-intent or price-intent keywords surfaced, which is exactly where this site's differentiator lives. That is a filter artifact, NOT evidence of no demand. A dataforseo_labs_google_keyword_ideas run seeded with 'menu prices' plus venue names is required before content is committed. (4) Because tasteboulder ranks for nothing, 'keywords the competitor ranks for that tasteboulder does not' degenerates into 'the competitor's entire keyword list', which is why this gap set overlaps heavily with boulderthingstodo.com's.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
theadventuristmagazine.com not measured Yes live search results Editorial 'Where to Eat in Boulder' city guide, ranked #3 organic for 'best restaurants boulder colorado'. The most beatable target in the whole audit and the clearest proof of opportunity: its ranking restaurant page carries just 2 referring domains, and it still holds positions 13 to 25 across the entire best-restaurants group. A directory with real menu data should beat a single 2025 listicle.
boulderdowntown.com not measured Yes live search results Downtown Boulder Partnership, ranked #8 organic, runs a genuine dining directory at /dining that holds position 5 and 6 on the 27100 restaurant group. A realistic peer and the closest structural analogue to what tasteboulder is trying to be.
bouldercoloradousa.com not measured Benchmark only live search results Visit Boulder, the official DMO, ranked #2 organic, runs a food-and-drink and MICHELIN guide section. 849 referring domains. Semi-aspirational. tripadvisor.com and yelp.com also held top-10 slots but were excluded as giants whose global keyword sets pollute a volume-ordered gap pull.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Best restaurants in Boulder pillar /best-restaurants-boulder (the flagship ranked list, one page targeting the whole 12100 group, with real menu prices per venue as the differentiator no competitor has) 12,100 high The single biggest reachable win on this site. Difficulty runs 2 to 22 on the bulk check, and the ONLY competitor ranking is a magazine listicle sitting at positions 14 to 25 on a page with 2 referring domains. That is an unusually weak incumbent for a 12100 group. Volume is the shared group figure, not the 60500 you would get by summing the five variants.
Head restaurant directory terms /restaurants (the browsable directory index, filterable by cuisine, neighborhood and price) 27,100 high All three competitors rank, which is the strongest signal the topic is mandatory here. Difficulty 24 is the realistic ceiling for a new site but boulderdowntown.com holds position 5 with a plain alphabetical list, so the bar for beating it on usefulness is low. Volume is the shared group figure across both variants, not 54200.
Individual restaurant pages /restaurants/blackbelly and /restaurants/frasca first, then the rest of the directory, each with the full priced menu 13,500 high Blackbelly at difficulty 3 with the only competitor at position 13 is close to free traffic, and Frasca shows the same shape at difficulty 23 with the competitor stranded at position 46. These are two genuinely distinct venues so this total is a real sum. Critically, this is the ONE cluster where menu prices give tasteboulder something the restaurant's own site often buries and no aggregator publishes cleanly. Note these sit just below the brand-name line: the venue's own domain will hold position 1 and should not be attacked, the win is position 2 or 3 for people comparing before booking.
Menu and price intent, NOT YET MEASURED Pending research. Likely /menus and per-dish pages such as /cheapest-burger-boulder. 0 medium Deliberately left empty rather than guessed. This is the site's actual differentiator and the %boulder% filter plus the volume cap meant not one menu or price keyword surfaced in the pull. Recording it as an open research task with zero invented numbers. Run keyword_ideas seeded with 'menu prices', 'happy hour' and venue names before committing to this cluster. A supporting signal exists but is not proof: 'boulder brunch' returned difficulty 3 on the bulk check, though its volume was not captured in this audit.

Flags

  • DOWNTOWN AND PEARL STREET, severe: the six downtown/Pearl Street variants (one 49500 group, difficulty 4 to 34) appear in tasteboulder's gap list purely because boulderdowntown.com and bouldercoloradousa.com run dining AND attraction content on one domain. BOULDERTHINGSTODO.COM SHOULD OWN THESE. tasteboulder's only legitimate slice is 'restaurants downtown boulder' (difficulty 15).
  • CHAUTAUQUA PARK: 'boulder co chautauqua park' (40500, difficulty 31) appears here too and belongs to OUTDOORBOULDER.COM for trail intent, with boulderthingstodo.com taking the events and landmark intent. It has no dining claim at all.
  • WEATHER: the 135000 'boulder weather' group (difficulty 14) surfaced in this pull and is worthless to a dining directory. It should not be chased by ANY of the five sites as a head term, because that SERP is owned by weather.com and the NWS. The adjacent 'best time to visit' page belongs to boulderthingstodo.com or newtoboulder.com.
  • HOTEL BOULDERADO, needs a split: 'boulderado restaurant' (27100 group, difficulty 15) is dining intent and is tasteboulder's legitimate claim, but the lodging variants of the same brand belong on boulderthingstodo.com. Marked reachable=false here regardless, because the hotel's own domain will own its brand name.
  • STRUCTURAL, the most valuable finding in this audit: boulderdowntown.com and bouldercoloradousa.com are competitors for BOTH tasteboulder.com and boulderthingstodo.com, because both publishers keep things-to-do and dining under ONE domain. Annette has split across two thin domains what her competitors consolidate into one strong one. Two weak sites each fighting a consolidated competitor is materially harder than one, and it guarantees permanent overlap between her own properties. Worth revisiting as a portfolio decision, not just a keyword-mapping decision. ENFORCE THE BOUNDARY NOW, while tasteboulder has zero rankings to protect: tasteboulder takes eat, restaurant, dinner, lunch, brunch, menu and price intent; boulderthingstodo takes place, event and attraction intent; the two cross-link rather than duplicate.

recipememoir.com

The biggest reachable win is the gift-intent cluster at roughly 45,600 monthly searches, immediately followed by the two commercial cookbook-creation clusters at roughly 17,600 and 13,300. All three carry buying intent, difficulty is 1 to 22 where DataForSEO holds a value, and the incumbents are ordinary product sites sitting at position 1 to 23 rather than untouchable publishers. The instructive finding is the contrast between the two peers: familycookbookproject.com has 8,772 keywords and an ETV of 10,129 because it chases recipes, while createmycookbook.com has 749 keywords and an ETV of 26,602 because it chases buyers. RecipeMemoir should copy the second one and ignore the recipe archive entirely.

Where it stands today: 7 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.9, 0 keywords on page one.

Effectively invisible. Seven ranking keywords, all of them on page six or deeper (two at 51 to 60, four at 71 to 80, one at 81 to 90), estimated traffic value under one dollar a month, and all seven flagged is_new. Nothing in the top 50. The Labs competitors_domain call returned an empty array, so all three competitors are SERP-derived and confirmed by their own rank overviews.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
familycookbookproject.com 8,772 Yes live search results The direct product competitor and the biggest keyword footprint in the exact niche. Important nuance the data revealed: its 8,772 keywords are mostly its hosted user-recipe database ranking at position 60 to 110 for ordinary dish queries (swiss steak, au jus, she crab soup). Only 492 keywords sit in the top 10 and its ETV is 10,129. Its product pages are beatable; its recipe archive is irrelevant to Annette.
createmycookbook.com 749 Yes live search results The sharpest peer: only 749 keywords but ETV 26,602 and 68 of them at position 1, because it targets the commercial cookbook-creation queries directly instead of hosting a recipe archive. This is the model RecipeMemoir should copy, and the realistic head-to-head target.
storyworth.com 1,518 Benchmark only live search results ASPIRATIONAL BENCHMARK. The memoir-gift giant, ETV 362,860 from just 1,518 keywords, 82 of them at position 1. Included deliberately because it owns the gift-intent and 'when is Mother's Day' calendar traffic that feeds the same buyer. Do not plan to out-rank it on brand or calendar terms; do study which gift queries it converts on.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Make your own cookbook (the money cluster) /make-your-own-cookbook as the primary commercial landing page, with /how-to-make-a-cookbook as the how-to sibling that links into it 17,640 high BUYING INTENT. This is the cluster createmycookbook.com holds position 1 on across the board, and it is why 749 keywords generate an ETV of 26,602 for them while familycookbookproject's 8,772 keywords generate 10,129. Difficulty where measured is 4 to 22. A commercial product site with no rankings should build this page first, because it is the query a person types immediately before they buy.
Personalized and custom family cookbook /personalized-family-cookbook (one page, covering personalized, personalised, custom and family variants; do not split them) 13,320 high BUYING INTENT, and the closest match to what RecipeMemoir actually sells. Difficulty 3 to 11 where measured, and competitors already sit at position 1 to 7, so the SERP is settled and winnable rather than contested. 'Personalised' with an s is a British spelling that real US searchers type, so it stays in the keyword list even though her published prose is American English.
Gift intent (grandparents, mom, the person who has everything) /family-cookbook-gift (plus /gifts-for-grandparents as a supporting piece) 45,600 high BUYING INTENT and the largest commercial block in the audit. StoryWorth alone holds all eight, at positions 4 to 23, which tells you the gift-guide SERP is winnable by a product page rather than locked by a giant publisher. 'Gifts for mom who has everything' has difficulty 1. This is the cluster that turns a keepsake cookbook from a project into a purchase.
Recipe book and recipe booklet head terms /recipe-book as a hub that routes to the two commercial pages above 75,000 medium The largest volume by far and the difficulty is genuinely low (5 to 14), but intent is mixed: some of these searchers want to buy a blank recipe book from Amazon, not commission a keepsake. Worth one strong hub page, not a whole content program. Note familycookbookproject holds position 1 on 'recipe booklet' with 33,100 searches behind it, so the slot is takeable.
Templates, binders and DIY (top of funnel) /free-cookbook-template (a genuinely useful downloadable template that ends with the done-for-you offer) 19,300 medium These are people doing it themselves, one step before deciding it is too much work. Difficulty 5 on 'cookbook template' and competitors are stranded at position 13 to 86, so the SERP is weakly held. Lower intent than the clusters above, but it is the cheapest way to build topical authority and it feeds directly into the product page.
Mother's Day and Father's Day calendar traffic Do not build. Documented here so it is not chased later. 3,074,000 low StoryWorth ranks at positions 4 to 12 for 'when is mother's day' and its relatives, which is 1,000,000 searches a month per term. It looks irresistible and it is a trap for a site with seven ranking keywords. This is a giant spending its authority to catch a date-lookup query, and the searcher wants a date, not a cookbook. Skip it.

  • 'recipe book' and 'cookbook' variants are the single biggest cannibalization risk here. Every cluster above could plausibly be titled 'recipe book', so fix the mapping before writing: /make-your-own-cookbook owns creation intent, /personalized-family-cookbook owns product intent, /recipe-book is a hub only.
  • 'personalized cookbook' / 'personalised cookbook' / 'custom recipe book' / 'personal recipe book' are one intent with four spellings. One page.
  • 'how to make a cookbook' / 'how to make a cook book' / 'how to make a recipe booklet' are one page, not three.
  • CROSS-SITE FLAG: familycookbookproject.com's biggest keyword block is generic dish queries (swiss steak 27,100, au jus 40,500, margherita pizza 135,000, morning glory muffins 12,100) that it wins with its hosted recipe archive at position 60 to 110. Those belong to proteinfirstrecipes.com if anywhere, and are wrong for RecipeMemoir. Building a recipe archive to chase them would dilute a commercial product site into a food blog.
  • CROSS-SITE FLAG: the memoir and life-story keywords StoryWorth holds ('what is an autobiographical' 12,100, 'what are memoir' 590, 'how do you write a book' 22,200) sit closer to Annette's Rebuilding and book work than to a cookbook product. Decide deliberately which property owns 'memoir' before either one publishes on it.
  • Several keywords came back from bulk_keyword_difficulty with no keyword_difficulty value at all (DataForSEO holds no KD for them). Those are recorded as null rather than guessed. Every volume and position figure is from an actual API response.

boulderthingstodo.com

This site ranks for nothing at all, so every keyword here is a gap and the real question is only which ones are winnable. The biggest reachable win is Boulder weather and best-time-to-visit at difficulty 14, where the best Boulder-focused competitor sits at position 11 and the top ten is generic national forecast sites that never answer the trip-planning question. Second is the downtown Boulder and Pearl Street cluster, where all three competitors rank and difficulty runs as low as 4. Skip the CU campus and the bare 'boulder' head term (difficulty 61 and 71), and hand the restaurant queries to tasteboulder.com rather than competing with it.

Where it stands today: 0 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.0, 0 keywords on page one.

dataforseo_labs_google_domain_rank_overview (target=boulderthingstodo.com, United States, en) returned status 20000 with an EMPTY items array. That is not an error, it is the finding: the site has no measurable organic footprint in the DataForSEO Labs index at all. dataforseo_labs_google_competitors_domain also returned empty, which is why competitors are SERP-derived rather than Labs-derived. IMPORTANT: this site has NO Google Search Console property, so everything here is modeled DataForSEO data, not Annette's real measured rankings. A second caveat on volumes: DataForSEO synonym-clusters near-identical queries and assigns the GROUP volume to every member, so the six downtown/Pearl Street variants all report exactly 49500 with byte-identical monthly_searches arrays, and the two weather variants both report 135000. Those are ONE query group each, not six and two independent opportunities. Do not sum them, it would overstate the prize roughly 6x.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
boulderdowntown.com not measured Yes live search results Downtown Boulder Partnership, ranked #10 organic for 'things to do in boulder co'. A small local nonprofit site (792 referring domains on its homepage per the API), Boulder-only, and the most realistic peer of the three. Its per-venue /go/ pages rank on thin content, which is exactly the pattern a better directory can beat.
bouldercoloradousa.com not measured Benchmark only live search results Visit Boulder, the official destination marketing organization, ranked #1 organic for 'things to do in boulder co'. 849 referring domains and it holds position 2-5 on nearly every downtown query. Semi-aspirational: Boulder-only so its keyword set is the right map, but Annette will not displace it on head terms.
bouldercolorado.gov not measured Benchmark only live search results City of Boulder, ranked #6 organic. 1,700 referring domains and .gov trust. Included as an ASPIRATIONAL BENCHMARK because it reveals which visitor-intent queries the city itself ranks for, not because it can be outranked. tripadvisor.com ranked #2 but was excluded: its global keyword set pollutes a gap pull ordered by volume.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Downtown Boulder and Pearl Street Mall /downtown-boulder (a Pearl Street Mall guide: what is there, street performers, parking, hours, plus child pages for shopping and events) 49,500 high All THREE competitors rank on every variant, which is the strongest possible signal that this topic is mandatory in this niche. Difficulty is remarkably low (4 to 34, with plain 'downtown boulder' at 4). Volume stated as the single 49500 query group, NOT the 297000 you would get by summing the six variants, because DataForSEO reports byte-identical monthly_searches for all six, meaning it is one clustered group.
Named attractions and venues /attractions/ hub with individual pages for Chautauqua Park and Folsom Field first 73,600 high Folsom Field is difficulty 8 with the only ranking competitor sitting at position 21, so page one is effectively unoccupied by a Boulder-focused site. Chautauqua at difficulty 31 is harder but Visit Boulder holds position 4 with a plain guide page, which is beatable content. These are two genuinely distinct queries, so this total is a real sum, unlike the two clusters above.
Boulder weather and best time to visit /boulder-weather-by-month (a month-by-month what-to-expect and what-to-do page, with a 'best time to visit Boulder' section and seasonal activity links) 135,000 medium Downgraded from high after a second look, and both raw keywords are marked reachable=false. Difficulty reads 14, which is tempting, but difficulty understates the real barrier here: the intent behind 'boulder weather' is checking a forecast, and that top ten is owned end to end by weather.com and the National Weather Service, who a directory cannot displace and should not try to. Visit Boulder sitting at position 11 and 12 is evidence of exactly that ceiling, not of an opening. The genuine opportunity is the ADJACENT trip-planning query ('best time to visit Boulder', 'Boulder in October'), which is a different page serving a different need. Build that, do not chase the forecast term. Volume stated as the single 135000 query group, NOT summed across the two variants.
CU Boulder visitor and parents /visiting-cu-boulder (campus visit guide: tours, game days, where parents stay and eat) 60,500 low Marked LOW and both keywords marked unreachable. Difficulty 61 and 43, and the intent is largely navigational toward colorado.edu itself, which a directory cannot displace. Listed so it is visible as a deliberate pass rather than an oversight. Revisit only after the site has real authority.
Dining, DO NOT BUILD HERE NOTHING on boulderthingstodo.com. These belong to tasteboulder.com. 27,100 low These surfaced in this site's gap list only because boulderdowntown.com runs a /dining directory alongside its things-to-do content. Building restaurant pages here would put boulderthingstodo.com in direct competition with Annette's own tasteboulder.com. Flagged in cannibalization_flags. Volume stated as the single 27100 group, the three variants share identical monthly_searches.

  • RESTAURANT QUERIES: 'boulder restaurants', 'boulder colorado restaurants' and 'boulderado restaurant' (27100 group, difficulty 24/24/15) appear in boulderthingstodo.com's gap list. TASTEBOULDER.COM SHOULD OWN THESE. boulderthingstodo.com should link to tasteboulder.com rather than publish its own restaurant roundup, otherwise Annette's two sites split the same query group.
  • CHAUTAUQUA PARK: 'boulder co chautauqua park' (40500, difficulty 31) is genuinely contested between boulderthingstodo.com (it is an attraction, a concert venue and a historic landmark) and outdoorboulder.com (it is also the single most important trailhead in Boulder). RECOMMENDATION: outdoorboulder.com owns the hiking and trail intent (trails, parking, difficulty, dog rules), boulderthingstodo.com owns the visitor and events intent (concerts, the dining hall, the historic site), and the two cross-link. Do not let both publish a general 'Chautauqua Park guide'.
  • SHARED COMPETITOR SET: boulderdowntown.com and bouldercoloradousa.com are competitors for BOTH boulderthingstodo.com and tasteboulder.com, because both of those publishers run things-to-do AND dining sections under one domain. Annette has split across two domains what her competitors keep on one. That is a strategic choice worth revisiting: two thin sites each fighting a consolidated competitor is harder than one strong site, and it guarantees ongoing overlap between her own properties.

newtoboulder.com

newtoboulder ranks for nothing, but it is chasing the least defended ground in the portfolio: the top of this SERP belongs to national moving companies publishing generic lead-capture pages, and no dedicated Boulder relocation guide holds the position. The biggest reachable win is per-neighborhood guides. Note the correction above: the real 8,100 is "gunbarrel colorado" at competition 0.01, not University Hill, whose Boulder-qualified volume is about 1,060. Cost of living at difficulty 8 is the other obvious build. The discipline this site needs most is restraint: hiking, restaurant and coffee keywords all surfaced here and every one of them belongs to a sister site.

Where it stands today: 0 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.0, 0 keywords on page one.

dataforseo_labs_google_domain_rank_overview (target=newtoboulder.com, United States, en) returned status 20000 with an EMPTY items array: zero organic footprint in the Labs index. dataforseo_labs_google_competitors_domain also returned empty, so competitors are SERP-derived. NO Google Search Console property exists, so this is modeled DataForSEO data, not measured rankings. PROVENANCE, stated plainly: the difficulty figures for 'uni hill' (13), 'apartments in boulder co' (9) and 'cost of living in boulder colorado' (8) were re-run and confirmed directly against dataforseo_labs_bulk_keyword_difficulty during final review. The search volumes in this file come from the domain_intersection responses captured during the gap pull and were NOT independently re-pulled at review time, so treat volumes as one-pass figures. 'mapleton hill' and 'north boulder colorado' returned NO keyword_difficulty from the bulk endpoint and are recorded null rather than guessed. METHOD CAVEATS. (1) The three competitors are small local Boulder businesses, so the volume-only filter was used and stayed relevant for two of them; willowhome.co alone needed the %boulder% relevance re-run because its unfiltered pull returned Denver-metro and national noise (cherry creek schools at 27100, driveway heater at 9900). (2) That filter hides neighborhood names lacking the word 'boulder' (Mapleton Hill, Table Mesa, Gunbarrel, Newlands, Martin Acres), and the neighborhood keywords below survived only because they came from the two unfiltered pulls, so neighborhood coverage here is partial. (3) Synonym clustering: where variants share a volume figure, treat it as ONE query group, do not sum. (4) Because this site ranks for nothing, the gap pull degenerates into 'the competitor's entire keyword list'.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
goodgoodrealty.com not measured Yes live search results Boulder realtor running a 'Top 15 Boulder Colorado Neighborhoods' guide, ranked #3 organic for 'best neighborhoods in boulder colorado'. A realistic peer: a small local business ranking on one content page, which is beatable by a dedicated relocation guide.
willowhome.co not measured Yes live search results Boulder home-services site running a 'Best Boulder Neighborhoods 2026' guide, ranked #4 organic and cited in Google's AI Overview for both 'moving to boulder colorado' and the neighborhoods query. Beatable, and its AI Overview citation shows what Google currently treats as the authority here, which is a home-services company rather than a relocation specialist.
bpmco.com not measured Yes live search results Boulder Property Management, 'Extensive Guide to Boulder Colorado Neighborhoods', ranked #7 organic. Beatable. NOTE the strategic finding this competitor set reveals: the head of this SERP belongs to NATIONAL MOVING COMPANIES (mayflower.com, allied.com, pods.com, extraspace.com, allmysons.com), not to any Boulder publisher. They were excluded from the gap pull as giants, but their dominance is the point: no dedicated local relocation guide holds this ground, so the position is genuinely unclaimed.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Per-neighborhood guides /neighborhoods/ hub plus one page each, starting with University Hill, then North Boulder, South Boulder, Mapleton Hill and Gold Hill 14,330 high The biggest reachable cluster and the natural spine of a relocation site. Gunbarrel is the standout single target, since "gunbarrel colorado" is 8,100/mo at competition 0.01. University Hill was originally credited with that 8,100 and that was wrong: the bare term is a generic US place name, and Boulder-qualified volume is about 1,060. It is still worth building. The rest are small individually (590 to 880) but they compound into a genuine neighborhood hub and they are nearly unopposed. This total IS a legitimate sum: these are distinct places with distinct monthly_searches, unlike the synonym groups elsewhere in this audit.
Cost of living and is it worth it /cost-of-living-boulder (real numbers: rent, home prices, groceries, utilities, taxes, plus an honest 'is Boulder worth it' section) not measured high Difficulty 8, re-verified. This is the question every mover actually types, and the SERP is held by national moving companies whose cost pages are generic lead-capture content rather than real Boulder numbers, which is a low bar to clear. total_volume is recorded null rather than guessed: the difficulty was re-pulled at review but the volume for 'cost of living in boulder colorado' was not captured in the intersection responses, so inventing a figure here would be dishonest. Run keyword_overview on it before sizing the bet, but build the page regardless, it is obviously core.
Renting in Boulder /renting-in-boulder (how the market works, when to search, the CU academic-year cycle, deposits, what a given budget gets you) 8,100 medium Difficulty 9 to 17, and 'apartments in boulder co' re-verified at 9. Genuinely reachable, with one honest limit: the transactional half of this intent belongs to Zillow, Apartments.com and local brokerages with live inventory, which a guide cannot displace. Win the advice query ('what should I know before renting here'), not the listings query. Volume shown as the 8100 group figure for the two apartment variants, not summed.
Orientation and surrounding towns /boulder-area-map (where Boulder sits, what is nearby, and honest comparisons to Louisville, Lafayette and Longmont for people priced out of Boulder itself) 2,270 medium Low volume but difficulty 7 to 19 and squarely on-intent for someone deciding where to land. The bare town names (louisville co at 36, lafayette colorado at 34, lafayette co county at 53) are marked unreachable: those SERPs are owned by the towns' own municipal sites and Wikipedia, and a Boulder relocation guide has no claim on them. Target the COMPARISON, not the town name.
Lifestyle content, DO NOT BUILD HERE NOTHING. Link to the sister sites instead. 0 low Listed to make the exclusion explicit. A relocation guide is under constant natural pressure to add 'where to hike' and 'where to get coffee' pages, and doing so would put newtoboulder.com straight into competition with outdoorboulder.com and tasteboulder.com. total_volume deliberately 0 because none of it should be counted toward this site's plan.

  • HIKING, severe: 'hikes around boulder colorado' (14800, difficulty 1), 'boulder hiking trails' (14800, difficulty 4) and 'best hikes boulder co' (1600, difficulty 3) all surfaced in this site's gap list. OUTDOORBOULDER.COM OWNS THESE OUTRIGHT. Note the same 14800 group appears in outdoorboulder's own audit, so this is one shared prize, not two. Currently held at positions 11 to 27 by a home-services company, which is why it keeps surfacing everywhere.
  • DINING AND COFFEE, severe: 'best restaurants in boulder' (12100 group), plus the coffee family ('coffee shop boulder', 'coffee shops in boulder colorado', 'cafe in boulder', 'cafe in boulder co' all at 4400, 'boulder coffee' 2900, 'best coffee shop in boulder' 1600, 'best coffee boulder co' 1600) and the breakfast pair. TASTEBOULDER.COM OWNS ALL OF IT. The coffee cluster is the easiest one to miss, because a relocation guide has an obvious editorial reason to write 'where to get coffee when you move here'. Do not. The 4400 coffee variants are one synonym group, not four separate opportunities.
  • ALTITUDE: 'elevation of boulder' and 'boulder altitude' (9900 group, difficulty 1) straddle newtoboulder (living at altitude) and outdoorboulder (acclimatizing to hike). RECOMMENDATION: outdoorboulder builds the page, newtoboulder links to it and covers only the long-term-resident angle.
  • WEATHER: the 135000 'boulder weather' group (difficulty 14) is arguably newtoboulder's most natural claim of the five sites, since climate is a real relocation factor. But the head term is owned by weather.com and the NWS and should not be chased by anyone. The winnable version is 'what winter is actually like in Boulder' inside the relocation guide.
  • GOLD HILL, genuine split: 'gold hill boulder' (2400, difficulty 26) is both a place to live and a day trip. RECOMMENDATION: keep it on newtoboulder as a living-there page, with a separately titled visit page on boulderthingstodo.com, cross-linked.
  • NO MEDSPASBOULDER OVERLAP was found in any of the three competitor sets, and that appears to be genuine rather than a filter artifact, since these competitors are realtors and property managers with no aesthetics content.

buildamensgroup.com

Be honest with Annette about this one: the niche is genuinely tiny. The core men's-group cluster totals about 3,500 monthly searches, and the flagship query 'how to start a men's group' gets 30 a month and is trending down 60 percent year over year. The good news is that it is completely winnable, because difficulty runs 1 to 28 and the incumbents are a 188-keyword nonprofit and a mid-size commercial site, not an institution. The biggest reachable win is the core cluster plus the mentorship cluster (roughly 4,800 searches combined) built as one strong pillar with two children, which is a weekend of work rather than a content program. The larger volumes in the gap list (brotherhood definitions at 18,100, male friendship at 51,280) are attention, not buyers, and the 'support group' head terms belong to other niches entirely. Anything with difficulty above about 30 here is a distraction.

Where it stands today: 20 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 6.0, 0 keywords on page one.

Twenty ranking keywords, none of them in the top 10, and only one inside the top 20. The rest sit between position 21 and 100. Estimated traffic value is about six dollars a month and all twenty are flagged is_new, so this is a site Google has just started looking at rather than one that has lost ground. Labs competitors_domain returned an empty array; all three competitors are SERP-derived and confirmed by their own rank overviews.

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
mensgroup.com 2,582 Yes live search results The direct commercial competitor (a paid online men's group). ETV 10,076 with 272 keywords in the top 10, and most of its footprint sits at position 11 to 60, which means it is winning on volume of content rather than on authority. The realistic head-to-head target.
mankindproject.org 188 Yes live search results The best-known nonprofit men's-work organization and the most beatable competitor in the whole audit: only 188 keywords total, though 68 of them are in the top 10 (ETV 4,624). It ranks on brand and on a thin slice of genuine men's-group queries, which is exactly the slice buildamensgroup.com is built for.
goodmenproject.com 49,598 Benchmark only live search results ASPIRATIONAL BENCHMARK ONLY, and included mainly as a warning. A 49,598-keyword general-interest men's publisher with ETV 87,863, but only 2,366 keywords in the top 10, so its footprint is enormous and shallow. Its gap list is almost entirely off-topic reach (movie titles, attachment styles, belly fat, pet grief) that a small men's-group site must not chase.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Men's group core (start one, join one, run one) /how-to-start-a-mens-group as the pillar, with /what-happens-in-a-mens-group and /mens-group-format-and-ground-rules underneath it 3,510 high This is the site's whole reason for existing and the numbers are small but genuinely winnable: difficulty 1 to 28, and mensgroup.com plus mankindproject.org already hold positions 1 to 5, so the SERP is settled rather than contested. Be honest about the ceiling. 'How to start a men's group', the single most on-brand query on the internet for this domain, gets 30 searches a month and its trend is down 60 percent year over year. The entire core cluster is about 3,500 searches. That is a real business only if each visitor is worth a lot.
Mentorship for men and young men /mens-mentorship-and-how-to-find-a-mentor 1,260 medium An adjacent intent the incumbents only half cover: competitors sit at position 5 to 31 and difficulty is 12 to 16 where measured. Small volume, but the searcher is looking for something to join, which is the same person who would start a group. Worth one page, not a program.
Brotherhood and masculinity (top of funnel) /what-brotherhood-actually-means-between-men 18,100 medium Five times the volume of the core cluster at difficulty 3 to 8, with goodmenproject stranded at position 9 to 22. Tempting, and it comes with a caveat worth stating plainly: 'define brotherhood' is a dictionary query. Most of that traffic wants a definition and leaves. Build one good page for topical credibility, then stop. Do not mistake the volume for demand for a men's group.
Male loneliness and adult friendship /why-men-lose-their-friends-in-midlife 51,280 medium The emotional on-ramp to the product, and the honest framing of why men's groups exist. Difficulty is 4 on 'guy friendships' and 21 on 'mens chat'. The 40,500-search 'men best friends' term is left marked not reachable on purpose: no difficulty score exists for it, goodmenproject only reaches position 30, and the query is ambiguous. Treat this cluster as a place to earn attention, not rankings.
Off-topic reach to ignore Do not build. Recorded so it is not chased later. 0 low These all appeared in the gap pull because goodmenproject.com is a 49,598-keyword general publisher that ranks weakly on almost everything, and because the phrase 'support group' matches niches that have nothing to do with men's peer groups. Chasing any of them would turn a focused product site into a content farm. Total volume recorded as 0 deliberately: the opportunity value here is zero, not the search volume.

  • 'men groups' / 'men's support group' / 'male support group' / 'men social groups' are one intent with four phrasings. One pillar page, not four thin ones. With volume this low, splitting them guarantees none of them rank.
  • 'define brotherhood' / 'brotherhood definition' / 'brotherhood def' are literally the same query. One page.
  • CROSS-SITE FLAG, the important one: 'divorce support groups' (8,100 searches, difficulty 3), 'men's divorce support groups' (590, difficulty 2), 'men's divorce' (1,000, difficulty 11) and 'support group for divorced people' all showed up in this site's gap list, and every one of them belongs to rebuildingseminars.com, not here. That cluster is bigger than buildamensgroup.com's entire core cluster. Do not build divorce content on the men's-group site; link to Rebuilding instead.
  • CROSS-SITE FLAG: 'men's groups los angeles', 'men's group chicago', 'men's group nyc' and 'young men's groups near me' are local-intent queries (20 to 40 searches each). A national site can rank for a directory page covering all of them, but should not spin up per-city pages at this volume.
  • Many of these keywords came back from bulk_keyword_difficulty with no keyword_difficulty value at all, which is itself a signal: DataForSEO holds no difficulty score for queries this small. They are recorded as null, never guessed.

Follow-up pull, August 8 2026: does male loneliness have demand behind it?

You asked whether to point this site at male loneliness instead. Short answer: yes to the loneliness space, no to "male loneliness epidemic" as the target. Here is why, because the distinction is the whole thing.

The topic has real volume. "male loneliness epidemic" is 14,800 searches a month at difficulty 22, and the surrounding cluster is about 18,980 once duplicates are removed. The SERP is genuinely soft, which was the real worry: the top ten for that term includes Reddit, a student newspaper at Western Oregon University, and three small therapy practices. Only Healthline represents a major publisher. A twenty-keyword site can get in there.

The problem is what those searchers want. Search intent came back 99.5 percent informational, and the long tail says it plainly: statistics, wikipedia, nyt, new york times, who coined the term, is it real, meme. These are people reading about a phenomenon, not men looking for help. The cluster is also down 33 percent year over year, which is the same decay that undercut "how to start a men's group". Building conversion pages against it would repeat the mistake in a bigger font.

The demand that matches what this site actually does sits one step sideways, and it is worth roughly 29,900 searches a month of genuine help-seeking, rising to about 48,850 if you use a loneliness explainer as a traffic magnet feeding the rest.

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Find or join a men's group /mens-groups/ pillar plus a browsable directory, online and by metro 6,120 1 The softest SERP found and the highest intent. "men's group near me" (1,600 a month, difficulty 3) is the only transactional keyword in the entire study, and no authoritative independent directory of men's groups exists. That is a gap you can simply fill.
Divorce and grief groups for men /mens-groups/divorce/ 730 2 Difficulty 2 to 8, and it is the most common reason a man goes looking for a group in the first place. This also connects directly to Rebuilding.
Practical friendship how-to /make-friends/ 23,020 3 The best volume-to-difficulty ratio in the whole dataset. "how to make friends as an adult" is 12,100 a month at difficulty 8, which is eight times the volume of core male loneliness at a third of the difficulty. The head term is gender-neutral and the male tail is uncontested.
Male loneliness explainer /male-loneliness-epidemic/ 18,980 4 One definitive page as a top-of-funnel magnet that feeds the directory. A doorway, not a destination.
Men's Mental Health Month /mens-mental-health-month/ 84,580 5 By far the largest reachable volume found, at difficulty 10, but people searching it want to know whether it is June or November. Build it for traffic, not for audience, and do not expect it to convert.

Two cautions worth carrying forward. An AI Overview sits at position 1 on all three of the loneliness terms checked, which eats clicks on definitional queries specifically, and that is another reason to favor the find-a-group terms over the explainer. And the keyword ideas endpoint was near-useless on this topic, returning category matches such as "five guys" and "men in black", so 15 of 400 rows were relevant. Every number above came from suggestions, overview, difficulty, intent and live SERP calls instead.

curecaninedisease.com

The biggest reachable win is the canine ACL and ligament cluster: 44,400 combined monthly volume at difficulty 1 to 4, where the best competitor page sits at position 23 and two variants are stranded past position 34, meaning no one currently owns it. Right behind it, the named-cancer monographs (osteosarcoma, hemangiosarcoma, oral cancer) are the defensible long-term niche, because difficulty drops from 29 on the generic 'dog cancer' the giants own to 2 to 4 on the specific diagnoses they cover thinly. The strategic line for this site is specificity: it will never beat petmd on a broad condition name, and it does not need to. One caution, this is pet medical content, so every page needs a named credentialed reviewer and real citations, or the rankings will not hold no matter how good the keyword targeting is.

Where it stands today: 1 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.2, 0 keywords on page one.

Effectively a zero baseline. DataForSEO Labs domain_rank_overview returns a single organic keyword sitting in pos_41_50, flagged is_new, with ETV 0.189. No pos_1_10, no pos_11_20, nothing above position 40. This is a site with no search footprint yet, not a decayed one, so every keyword below is a true greenfield gap rather than something lost. Treat all difficulty figures as the ceiling on what is realistic: with zero existing authority, anything above roughly KD 20 is a year-out target, not a next-quarter one.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
dogcancer.com not measured Yes live search results SERP-derived. Surfaced at position 5 on the seed query 'canine lymphoma treatment cost'. The model to copy: a rigorous independent single-topic site competing against veterinary chains on depth rather than domain strength. Closest realistic peer in the set. Labs competitors_domain returned an empty items array for this domain, so all three competitors here are SERP-derived.
vetster.com not measured Benchmark only live search results SERP-derived. Ranked position 9 on 'canine kidney disease symptoms'. Mid-size telehealth publisher with a broad condition library, so it maps the symptom-to-diagnosis territory an independent site must cover. Reachable on individual long-tail conditions, not head-on.
petmd.com 399,307 Benchmark only live search results ASPIRATIONAL BENCHMARK, NOT A TARGET. Cited inside the AI Overview on both seed queries and holds 35,149 pos_1 rankings across 399,307 keywords. Included only to map what the veterinary giants own so those queries can be deliberately avoided.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Canine cancer by specific type (the defensible YMYL niche) /osteosarcoma-in-dogs/, /hemangiosarcoma-in-dogs/, /oral-cancer-in-dogs/ as deep condition monographs, each with staging, prognosis by stage, treatment options with real cost ranges, and a named veterinary reviewer with credentials on the page. 26,700 high The highest-value reachable territory. Difficulty 2 to 4 on the named cancers versus 29 to 31 on the generic 'dog cancer' head term the giants own, which is exactly the split that matters on a YMYL site. Specificity is the moat: petmd wins 'dog cancer' forever, but a rigorous independent page on canine hemangiosarcoma at KD 2 is genuinely winnable. Every page in this cluster needs a named credentialed reviewer and citations, because Google's quality raters treat pet medical advice as YMYL.
Organ failure symptom-to-diagnosis pathways /liver-problems-in-dogs/, /kidney-failure-in-dogs-symptoms/, /cushings-disease-in-dogs/, /diabetes-in-dogs-symptoms/. Structure each as symptom first, then what it could be, then what the vet will test, then what treatment costs. 81,400 high Liver at KD 4 to 14 and Cushing's at KD 9 are the soft spots, with the single competitor only reaching positions 16 to 32, so the SERP is not locked. Note the split inside this cluster: 'signs of canine kidney failure' is KD 28 and marked unreachable while 'signs and symptoms of kidney failure in dogs' has no reported difficulty and a competitor at position 22. Chase the phrasings the giants have not consolidated.
Orthopedic injury, the wide-open cluster /dog-acl-tear/ covering CCL rupture, symptoms, TPLO versus conservative management, and real surgery cost ranges by region. 44,400 high 44,400 combined volume at difficulty 1 to 4, and the best any competitor manages is position 23, with two of the three variants stranded at 34 and 75. That combination, high volume, near-zero difficulty and no competitor holding page one, is the clearest opening in this audit. ACL repair is also a high-cost decision, so the treatment-cost angle has genuine reader demand.
Parasites, tick-borne disease and prevention /tick-borne-diseases-in-dogs/, /tapeworms-in-dogs-treatment/, /lyme-vaccine-for-dogs/ (covering the borrelia phrasing in the same page). 88,800 medium Difficulty 2 to 13 across the whole cluster. The caution is that competitors already hold positions 2 to 5 on the tick and tapeworm terms, so these are winnable but contested, unlike the orthopedic cluster where nobody holds page one. Good second-wave work once the cancer and organ pages have earned some authority.
Medication dosing and owner decision support /carprofen-for-dogs/, /zyrtec-for-dogs-dosage/, /when-to-euthanize-a-dog-with-seizures/. Dosing pages need a prominent 'confirm with your veterinarian' frame and a weight-based table. 36,800 medium Difficulty 2 to 4 with competitors stranded at positions 37 to 78, so the pages that exist are weak. This is the most YMYL-sensitive cluster in the audit: dosing content without veterinary review is the fastest way to lose trust and rankings together. Worth building, but only with a credentialed reviewer, and never as a substitute for the reader calling a vet.
Avoid: heartworm and generic cancer head terms Nothing. Documented so these are not mistaken for opportunities. 62,700 low Difficulty 26 to 36 with the veterinary giants already holding positions 4 to 12. Attractive volume, wrong fight for a site with one ranking keyword. Revisit once the site holds page-one positions on twenty long-tail conditions.

Flags

  • No cannibalization possible today: the site has exactly 1 ranking keyword. Every flag below is preventive.
  • The liver cluster contains 4 phrasings (liver problems, liver issues, liver damage, liver infection in dogs) that are one reader intent. Build ONE liver page. Four separate pages would split the authority four ways and is the most likely self-inflicted error here.
  • Kidney failure has the same trap across 3 phrasings, and the ACL cluster across 3 (dog acl, ligament tear in dogs, acl tear canine). One page each.
  • Keep the named-cancer pages strictly separate from any general 'dog cancer' overview page. If a general overview is ever built, it must be a hub that links down, never a page targeting the same query as the osteosarcoma or hemangiosarcoma monographs.

verityagentic.ai

Verity is starting from absolute zero: no organic keywords in the Labs index at all. The single biggest reachable win is the national bottom-of-funnel implementation cluster, because 'ai consulting firms' (2400/mo, difficulty 11), 'ai integration services' (590/mo, difficulty 1, $65.65 CPC) and 'ai consulting for small businesses' (480/mo, difficulty 1) are buyer-intent terms with almost no gate and advertiser bids near $50 a click. The Boulder local angle is worth claiming because the incumbent is genuinely empty (one keyword above volume 20), but be clear-eyed that Google Ads reports no measurable volume for 'ai consultant boulder' or any Colorado variant, so treat it as a cheap moat rather than a traffic source, and pair it with a Google Business Profile since the SERP shows a local 3-pack. Ignore the high-volume 'business consultant' family entirely: it is centricconsulting.com's territory and the wrong buyer.

Where it stands today: 0 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.0, 0 keywords on page one.

dataforseo_labs_google_domain_rank_overview returned an EMPTY items array for verityagentic.ai (US/en). The domain has no organic keywords in the DataForSEO Labs index at all. This is not an API error, it is the real state: the site is invisible in US organic search. Because the site has zero keywords, dataforseo_labs_google_competitors_domain cannot produce competitors either, so all competitors below are SERP-derived.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
boulderaiconsulting.com 1 Yes live search results Ranks #1 organic for 'ai consultant boulder' and also holds rank 14 with its /contact page. It is the single most direct local rival. CRITICAL FINDING: the domain_intersection pull returned only ONE keyword with volume >= 20 for this domain ('boulder ai', volume 40, its rank_absolute 5). It is as thin as verityagentic.ai. It holds the local SERP on brand-match alone, not on authority, which makes the local pack of terms genuinely takeable.
opinosis-analytics.com 40 Yes live search results Ranks #5 for 'ai consultant boulder' with a dedicated /ai-consulting-in-boulder/ page. A boutique consultancy at a realistic size, and the clearest proof that a single well-built city page is what wins this SERP.
creativegenius.ai 20 Yes live search results Ranks #7 for 'ai consultant boulder' via a programmatic /ai-consultant/boulder-co template. Included to show what the programmatic-local play looks like. Caveat: its ranked-keyword set is mostly off-topic (its top gap keyword is 'ai funeral home', volume 480), so it is a low-quality template farm rather than a real content competitor.
centricconsulting.com 40 Benchmark only live search results ASPIRATIONAL BENCHMARK ONLY. A national consultancy ranking #4 for 'ai agent implementation services'. Used to map what the national AI-consulting keyword universe looks like, not as a target. Do not plan to outrank it.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Funnel stage Priority Why
Boulder local AI consulting (LOCAL INTENT, thin but uncontested) /ai-consulting-boulder/ - one deep, genuinely local service page: named Boulder client outcomes, Boulder pricing reality, in-person availability, Boulder-specific industries (CU spinouts, outdoor brands, natural foods, biotech on the Diagonal). Plus a Google Business Profile, which is what actually feeds the 3-pack this SERP shows. 400 bottom high HONEST WARNING ON THE VOLUME: kw_data_google_ads_search_volume returned NO search_volume field at all for 'ai consultant boulder', 'ai consulting boulder', 'ai consultant boulder co', 'ai consulting colorado', 'ai consultant denver', 'ai consultant colorado' and 'boulder ai consulting'. Google Ads has no measurable volume for any of them. The only local term with a real number is 'boulder ai' at 40/month. The 400 total above is 'boulder ai' (40) plus 'ai agencies near me' (320) plus rounding of the near-zero locals, NOT six healthy local keywords. So this cluster is worth building for exactly one reason: it is nearly free to win. The current #1, boulderaiconsulting.com, ranks for a single keyword above volume 20 in the entire Labs index. The SERP also carries a 3-pack of local businesses, which is where the real local demand is being absorbed. Build the page and claim the GBP, but expect this cluster to produce a handful of high-value inquiries, not traffic. That is still the right trade for a consultancy selling five-figure engagements.
AI implementation buyer terms (national, bottom of funnel) /ai-implementation-services/ as a pillar, with child pages /ai-consulting-for-small-business/ and /ai-integration-services/. These must be sales pages with scope, timeline, and price bands, not thought leadership. 4,190 bottom high This is the best risk-adjusted cluster on the site. 'ai consulting firms' has difficulty 11 against volume 2400 and a CPC of $49.79, meaning advertisers pay nearly $50 a click for this exact buyer. 'ai integration services' (590, difficulty 1, CPC $65.65) and 'ai consulting for small businesses' (480, difficulty 1, CPC $25.30) are near-open doors. The bulk_keyword_difficulty call independently confirmed difficulty 1 for both 'ai integration services' and 'ai consulting for small businesses'. Very high commercial intent, very low gate.
Data and analytics consulting (adjacent bottom-of-funnel, low gate) /data-consulting/ with a short comparison section explaining when a business needs a data consultant versus an AI agent build. 2,590 bottom medium Every keyword here has difficulty between 4 and 25 with CPCs from $12.84 to $24.70. Competitors sit at positions 31 to 62, so nobody has built a good page. It is genuinely adjacent to agentic AI work (you cannot deploy agents on bad data) so it does not dilute positioning. Second priority because the buyer is looking for a slightly different service than Verity leads with.
Digital transformation and IT strategy (middle of funnel) /digital-transformation-consulting/ framed as the bridge page: the buyer knows they need change but has not decided AI is the answer. 6,700 middle medium 'digital transformation consulting' at difficulty 4 with volume 1900 and CPC $23.29 is unusually soft for its size, and 'strategy it consulting' is difficulty 9 at volume 2400. Competitors rank at 37 and 38, so the SERP is weak. Middle of funnel, so it feeds the bottom-of-funnel pages rather than closing on its own.
AI explainer content (TOP of funnel, deprioritize) /insights/ machine-learning explainers (precision and recall, LLM hallucination, what a consulting agency does) 12,140 top low Highest raw volume on the page and the worst business case, which is exactly the trap to avoid here. 'how to become an ai consultant' attracts people who want Annette's job, not her services. The machine-learning explainers attract students. Build these only after the bottom-of-funnel pages exist, and only as proof of expertise for buyers already on the site.

Flags

  • 'how to become an ai consultant' (320/mo) targets aspiring consultants, not buyers. If Annette ever wants that audience it belongs on NotTooOldForAI, not on a consultancy that sells to businesses. Do not build it here.
  • The machine-learning explainer keywords ('precision and recall in machine learning', 'llm hallucination', 'what is recall in machine learning') are educational and would sit more naturally on NotTooOldForAI. Putting them on verityagentic.ai risks the site reading as a blog rather than a consultancy.
  • 'cybersecurity consulting firms' and 'cyber security consulting services' appear in the gap set only because centricconsulting.com sells that service. Verity does not. Ignore them, they are competitor noise, not a real gap.
  • 'it consulting phoenix az' and 'austin artificial intelligence' are other cities' local terms picked up from the programmatic competitor. Building city pages for markets Verity cannot serve in person would undercut the Boulder local claim.
  • Risk of self-cannibalization: '/ai-consulting-boulder/' and a homepage that also targets AI consulting will fight each other. Keep the homepage on the brand and national offer, and let the Boulder page own every local variant.

socialmapped.com

socialmapped.com starts at zero and sits in a category owned by funded SaaS, so the head terms are simply gone: 'social media scheduler' (60,500/mo) belongs to Buffer and Hootsuite, and 'social media management platforms' is difficulty 59. The real opening is the two rings closest to the product: the audit cluster itself, roughly 1,240 searches a month at difficulty 6 to 23 with a $52.43 CPC on the main term, and the analytics-tool ring at about 9,000 searches a month where 'social media monitoring software' shows a $73.59 CPC with no competitor above position 63. The pattern to copy is socialinsider.io's, where a genuinely free instant audit tool is the page that ranks. The thing to avoid is the half-million-search glossary trap that inflated the competitors' keyword counts and would bring in teenagers looking up slang.

Where it stands today: 0 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.0, 0 keywords on page one.

dataforseo_labs_google_domain_rank_overview returned an EMPTY items array (US/en). No organic keywords in the Labs index. Competitors are SERP-derived from the seed 'social media audit tool', where socialinsider.io ranks #1, rivaliq.com #2, sproutsocial.com #3 and socialbee.com #8.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
socialinsider.io 40 Yes live search results Ranks #1 for 'social media audit tool' with a FREE Instagram audit tool page. This is the closest direct product competitor and the exact playbook socialmapped.com should study: a free single-platform audit tool as the top-of-funnel entry point to a paid product.
rivaliq.com 40 Yes live search results Ranks #2 for 'social media audit tool' with a dedicated /product/social-media-audits/ page. A mid-size competitive-benchmarking company, not a giant. It proves a product page (rather than a blog post) can hold this SERP.
socialbee.com 40 Benchmark only live search results ASPIRATIONAL BENCHMARK. Ranks #8 for the seed and holds an enormous glossary and blog footprint. Included to map the category's content moat. NOTE: its ranked-keyword set is overwhelmingly generic social-media glossary content ('side eye', 'npc meaning', 'icymi', 'sheesh', 'fam definition'), which is the trap described in the clusters below, not a model to copy.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Funnel stage Priority Why
The audit product cluster (BOTTOM of funnel, exactly the product) A FREE instant audit tool at /free-social-media-audit/ that takes a handle and returns a real report, plus /social-media-audit-tool/ as the product page and /social-media-audit/ as the how-to guide that feeds them. Copy socialinsider.io's structure exactly: the free tool IS the ranking asset. 1,240 bottom high This is the only cluster that describes what socialmapped.com actually sells, and the difficulty numbers are workable: 'instagram audit tool' is difficulty 6, 'free social media audit' is 9, 'social media audit template' is 9, 'social media audit report' is 23. Verified Google Ads volumes are 880, 210, 90, 30 and 30, and 'social media audit tool' carries a $52.43 CPC against only 210 searches, which tells you how valuable that visitor is. All three competitors rank on the head term, so by the 2-or-more rule this topic is mandatory in the niche. Small numbers, right buyer, and the free-tool format is what wins the SERP rather than another blog post.
Social analytics tool terms (BOTTOM of funnel, second ring) /social-media-analytics-tools/ as a genuine comparison page (including honest coverage of Sprout, Hootsuite and Rival IQ), plus /instagram-analytics-tools/. 9,000 bottom high Better volume than the audit cluster with still-reachable difficulty: 'social analytics tools' 2900 at difficulty 25 with a $39.84 CPC, 'social media analytic tools' 2900 at difficulty 23, 'instagram analytics tools' 1600 at difficulty 27, and 'social media monitoring software' 1600 at difficulty 15 with a $73.59 CPC where the best competitor sits at position 63. That last one is the standout: a $73 CPC and no competitor above position 63 means the SERP is genuinely soft.
Instagram format and spec content (TOP of funnel, cheap and defensible) /instagram-post-sizes/ and /instagram-carousel-guide/, kept short, accurate and updated when Meta changes specs. 76,200 top medium Unusually low difficulty for the volume: 'dimensions for instagram post' is 33,100 at difficulty 11 with the best competitor only at position 72, 'ig post size' 33,100 at difficulty 23, 'instagram carousel' 8,100 at difficulty 4. These are the rare top-of-funnel terms worth building because the searcher is a social media manager, which IS the buyer, and spec pages earn links. Medium priority, strictly after the two bottom-of-funnel clusters, and each page must carry a visible call to action for the free audit.
Platform head terms (BOTTOM of funnel, NOT AVAILABLE) Nothing. Documented so it is not attempted. 114,300 bottom low BE BLUNT: closed. 'social media scheduler' is 60,500 a month but the SERP is Buffer, Hootsuite, Later and Sprout, all funded, and difficulty is 33 only because the metric understates brand dominance. 'social media management platforms' is difficulty 59, 'social media analytics platforms' 48, 'instagram insights' 51, 'tiktok analytics' 54. socialmapped.com is an audit REPORT product, not a scheduler, so these are also the wrong terms even if they were winnable. Two reasons to skip, not one.
Social media glossary and trivia (TOP of funnel, THE TRAP) Nothing, ever. 500,000 top low Half a million searches a month of pure worthlessness, and the single most important thing to NOT do on this site. This is how socialbee.com and rivaliq.com built their keyword counts: 'side eye' at 135,000, 'npc meaning' at 60,500, 'fyp meaning' at 49,500. These visitors are teenagers looking up slang. They will never buy a social media audit. Writing this content would inflate a traffic number while producing zero revenue, and Annette does not need traffic, she needs customers.

  • 'social media optimisation' (14,800/mo, difficulty 12) appears with the BRITISH spelling in the keyword data. That is real search data and must be quoted exactly as it is here, but it also means a large share of that volume is non-US. Do not use British spelling in the page copy itself, and do not treat the full 14,800 as an addressable US audience.
  • 'social media audit' overlaps directly with SEOBeliever and with the SEOAuditReport product family, which is the sibling engine socialmapped.com is built on. Decide which property ranks for the audit terms before both build pages, since one engine serving two domains on near-identical queries is a self-cannibalization risk baked into the product architecture.
  • The glossary and slang cluster is the single biggest strategic risk on this site. It is the cheapest traffic in the audit and the least valuable. Flagging it explicitly because the volume numbers are seductive enough that a keyword-first content plan would walk straight into it.
  • 'youtube analytics' (14,800/mo) is the only keyword in this set that TWO competitors rank for, which normally signals a required topic. Here it signals that Sprout and Rival IQ both cover YouTube and socialmapped.com may not. Confirm the product actually audits YouTube before targeting it, or the page will convert at zero.
  • 'google ad word' (550,000/mo) and 'kpis meaning' (110,000/mo) are generic marketing glossary terms from the competitors' blogs, not gaps in a social audit product. Ignore entirely.

menopausepracticegrowth.com

The name of this domain describes a market that does not search. Google Ads reports zero measurable volume for every menopause-marketing phrase tested, so there is no keyword-led path to customers through the menopause angle itself. The biggest reachable win is the clinic-type page set (medical spa, wellness clinic, weight loss clinic, medical practice marketing), roughly 1,010 searches a month at difficulty 2 to 4 with CPCs from $35 to $134, closely followed by healthcare SEO services where 'healthcare seo agency' is 1,600/month at difficulty 3 and 'healthcare seo company' carries a $290 CPC. Keep menopause as the credibility story and the differentiator in the copy, and let the pages target the words clinic owners actually type.

Where it stands today: 0 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.0, 0 keywords on page one.

dataforseo_labs_google_domain_rank_overview returned an EMPTY items array (US/en). No organic keywords in the Labs index. Competitors are therefore SERP-derived from the seeds 'marketing for menopause clinics' and 'medical practice marketing agency'.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
pulsedigital.health 40 Yes live search results The ONLY agency on page one of 'marketing for menopause clinics' that actually sells menopause-specific marketing (its page promises menopause-specific content programs, HRT-aware paid campaigns and symptom-led SEO). It ranks #7. This is the closest thing to a direct competitor that exists. Note its copy uses British spelling ('programmes'), so it is likely not a US-focused operation, which is an opening.
etherealmindsdigital.com 28 Yes live search results Ranks #9 for 'marketing for menopause clinics' with a single blog post, 'How to Market a Menopause Clinic in 2026'. A small agency holding a page-one slot with one article, which shows how little content is required to compete in this exact niche.
intrepy.com 40 Yes live search results An established healthcare marketing agency ranking #2 for 'medical practice marketing agency'. Chosen as the realistic ceiling: it shows the full specialty-by-specialty page architecture that works in medical practice marketing (urology marketing, plastic surgery SEO, dermatology marketing agency) and that architecture has no menopause page in it. It is beatable on the long tail, not on the head.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Funnel stage Priority Why
Healthcare SEO and website services (BOTTOM of funnel, and now the site's lead offer) /healthcare-seo/ and /medical-practice-websites/ as two hard service pages with pricing and a case study, not a blog. 4,270 bottom high DECIDED, August 8 2026: this is what the site goes after. 'healthcare seo agency' carries 1,600 searches a month at difficulty 3, and the rest of the cluster is difficulty 1 to 13 with buyer intent throughout. It beats the clinic-type pages on volume (4,270 against 1,010), it does not collide with any other property of yours, and it describes work you can actually show evidence of doing.
Clinic-type marketing pages (BOTTOM of funnel, second wave, medical spa removed) One page per clinic type on a shared template: /wellness-clinic-marketing/, /weight-loss-clinic-marketing/, /menopause-clinic-marketing/. Medical spa is deliberately not on this list, it belongs to medspasboulder.com. Each page needs that clinic's own economics on it (patient lifetime value, typical HRT or GLP-1 program pricing, what a full panel costs to run). 1,010 bottom medium Still strong, still low difficulty (2 to 4) with high cost-per-click, and now second in line behind healthcare SEO. Medical spa marketing has been removed from this cluster and assigned to medspasboulder.com, which takes 390 searches a month out of it.
Specialty marketing content (TOP of funnel, proof only) /blog/ posts on physician liaison programs, healthcare social media management, and healthcare content marketing. 2,060 top medium Competitor positions of 90 and 81 on 'social media management for healthcare' and 'what is a physician liaison' mean these SERPs are genuinely weak. Useful as proof-of-expertise for clinic owners already considering the service, and cheap to write. Rank below the two bottom-of-funnel clusters because they do not close business on their own.
Generic healthcare marketing agency head terms (MIDDLE, mostly unavailable) Do NOT build dedicated pages. Cover with one honest /healthcare-marketing/ overview that links down to the clinic-type pages. 17,580 middle low The biggest volume and the worst odds. 'healthcare marketing agencies' (5400) and 'medical marketing agency' (4400, difficulty 33) are held by intrepy.com, healthcaresuccess.com and practicebuilders.com, one of which advertises 45 years and 16,000 practices. A brand-new domain does not take these. The softer members ('medical advertising agency' difficulty 8, 'healthcare marketing consultants' difficulty 9) are worth a mention on the overview page but not a build.
Home health and homecare marketing (adjacent, wrong buyer) Nothing. Listed so it is consciously rejected. 3,340 middle low Real volume with $24 to $28 CPCs, and pulsedigital.health ranks 5th, 5th, 6th and 10th here. But home health agencies are a different buyer from menopause and women's health clinics, with different economics and a different sales cycle. Chasing it would turn the site into a generic healthcare agency and destroy the specialist positioning that is its only advantage over intrepy.com.

Flags

  • THE BIGGEST FINDING ON THIS SITE, and it is not a gap keyword. kw_data_google_ads_search_volume returned NO search volume data whatsoever for 'menopause clinic marketing', 'marketing for menopause clinics', 'hrt clinic marketing', 'menopause practice growth' and 'womens health clinic marketing'. dataforseo_labs_bulk_keyword_difficulty likewise returned no difficulty score for the first three, meaning they are not in the difficulty index either. The exact niche this domain is named after has no measurable US search demand. Clinic owners are not searching for menopause-specific marketing help. They search 'medical practice marketing', 'healthcare seo agency' and 'medical spa marketing'. The domain name is fine as positioning, but the SITE cannot be built on menopause-marketing keywords, because they do not exist.
  • DECIDED, August 8 2026, and it supersedes everything else on this page: the entire clinic and healthcare marketing business moves to seobeliever.com, all 5,280 searches a month of it, medical spa marketing included. Vitalency stays retired and medspasboulder.com is not involved. The cluster tables below are kept as the record of what was found, but they are seobeliever.com's plan now, not this site's.
  • DECIDED, August 8 2026: consumer-facing menopause content (symptoms, HRT, perimenopause) goes to testosteroneinwomen.com, not here and not to SmartStrongAlive. This site sells to clinic owners, or rather it did before the business moved.
  • 'nore women's health' (1900/mo, difficulty 1) is a brand navigational query for another company. It is not a gap to fill, it is a competitor's brand name appearing in the data.
  • 'marketing plastic surgeons', 'plastic surgery seo', 'social media marketing for dentists' and 'urology marketing' are intrepy.com's specialty pages bleeding into the gap set. Building all of them turns this into a generic agency site. Pick the two or three clinic types adjacent to women's health (medspa, wellness, weight loss) and skip dentistry and plastic surgery.

medspasboulder.com

This site ranks for nothing and, unlike the other four, its measured gap list is mostly a trap: the competitors' big numbers are national 'near me' and treatment-vocabulary terms that a Boulder directory cannot win regardless of their low difficulty scores. Only two keywords in the top 40 are honestly reachable, 'boulder skin bar' at difficulty 4 with the best competitor at position 27, and 'boulder dermatology' at 13. The real opportunity is city-qualified treatment and price pages, and the honest finding is that this audit did not measure it, because the bulk endpoint returned no difficulty for 'botox boulder', 'med spa boulder' or 'lip filler boulder'; that pull needs running before anything is built. Treat the whole niche as YMYL-adjacent: all three competitors are real clinics with named credentialed providers, so compete on price transparency and comparison, never on treatment-safety advice.

Where it stands today: 0 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.0, 0 keywords on page one.

dataforseo_labs_google_domain_rank_overview (target=medspasboulder.com, United States, en) returned status 20000 with an EMPTY items array: zero organic footprint in the Labs index. dataforseo_labs_google_competitors_domain also returned empty, so competitors are SERP-derived. NO Google Search Console property exists, so this is modeled DataForSEO data, not measured rankings. PROVENANCE: the difficulty figures for 'boulder skin bar' (4), 'boulder dermatology' (13) and 'best medspa near me' (27) were re-run and confirmed directly against dataforseo_labs_bulk_keyword_difficulty at final review. Search volumes come from the domain_intersection responses captured during the gap pull and were not independently re-pulled. DATA QUALITY WARNING, this one matters: bulk_keyword_difficulty succeeded but returned a value for only 18 of 58 keywords, and inline intersection values filled just 2 more. The rest are recorded null, NOT guessed. Bulk and inline also DISAGREED on three keywords ('best medspa near me' 27 vs 5, 'eyebrows and tint' 19 vs 6, 'renove med spa' 13 vs 3); the bulk value was used throughout, and my independent re-run confirmed 27 for 'best medspa near me', so the bulk source is the reliable one. Separately, 'botox boulder', 'med spa boulder' and 'lip filler boulder' returned NO difficulty at all from the bulk endpoint, meaning the city-qualified versions of the core commercial terms are unscored, which is a real hole in this audit. The volume-only filter was used (no %boulder% clause) because in this niche the valuable keywords are treatment names without a city modifier, and no competitor needed the relevance re-run.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
rinnovaskinandbody.com not measured Yes live search results Rinnova Skin & Body, Boulder medical aesthetics center, ranked #1 organic for 'med spa boulder co' and #4 for 'botox boulder co', and holds a local pack slot with 364 reviews at 4.9. A real single-location clinic, so beatable on breadth but not on trust.
luxeroomcosmetic.com not measured Yes live search results The Luxe Room, a Boulder/Denver/Fort Collins med spa, ranked #4 and #7 organic across the two seed queries plus a local pack slot (359 reviews at 5.0). Multi-location, so its keyword set spans several cities, which is useful for seeing what treatment terms carry demand.
movaesthetics.com not measured Yes live search results Mov Aesthetics, Boulder med spa, ranked #5 and #9 organic. Chosen partly for a useful proof it provides: it ranks #7 to #10 on four national 'moxi' laser queries from a single Boulder-titled page, which shows a small local page CAN reach page one on national treatment vocabulary. yelp.com and alle.com also held top-10 slots on both seeds but were excluded as giants; Yelp's presence is itself important, see the verdict.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Boulder-qualified treatment and price pages /botox-boulder, /lip-filler-boulder, /hydrafacial-boulder and so on: one page per treatment, each listing every Boulder clinic offering it WITH prices, which is the directory-shaped version of these queries not measured high This is the site's real opportunity and it is recorded with EMPTY keywords and NULL volume on purpose, because the audit did not measure it. The competitors rank almost entirely for NATIONAL treatment vocabulary with no city modifier, and 'botox boulder', 'med spa boulder' and 'lip filler boulder' all returned no difficulty score from the bulk endpoint, so the city-qualified demand is simply unmeasured here. Inventing numbers would be the easy thing and the wrong thing. Two supporting signals that this ground is soft: Yelp holds a top-10 slot on both seed queries, which proves Google will seat a DIRECTORY on this SERP, and movaesthetics.com reaches positions 7 to 10 on national moxi queries from one Boulder-titled page. REQUIRED NEXT STEP: run keyword_overview or keyword_ideas on the city-qualified set (botox boulder, botox boulder co, lip filler boulder, med spa boulder, hydrafacial boulder, coolsculpting boulder, microneedling boulder, plus 'cost' and 'prices' variants) before committing to this build.
Clinic directory and comparison pages /clinics/boulder-skin-bar and one page per Boulder clinic, plus a comparison index 1,900 high 'boulder skin bar' at difficulty 4 (re-verified) with the best competitor sitting at position 27 is the single most reachable keyword found for this site. It also proves the pattern: clinic-name-plus-Boulder queries are winnable because the competing clinics do not write about each other. Build one page per clinic. Honest limit: the clinic's OWN site will hold position 1 for its own name, so the realistic prize is position 2 or 3 from people comparing options, which is exactly the traffic a directory monetizes.
Dermatologist versus med spa /dermatologist-vs-med-spa-boulder (who is qualified to do what, when to see a dermatologist instead, and which Boulder providers are physician-led) 2,400 medium Difficulty 13, re-verified, and genuinely on-intent for someone deciding where to go. Build it as an explicit comparison rather than a general dermatology page, for two reasons: it avoids competing with the site's own homepage on a domain with zero authority to spare, and the comparison framing is the one angle a directory can credibly own that a single clinic cannot. This is also the safest way to add YMYL-adjacent depth, because it is about choosing a provider rather than giving medical advice.
National treatment vocabulary, DO NOT CHASE NOTHING. All marked unreachable. 0 low This is where the volume looks enormous and the opportunity is not: 74000 for 'lip filler near me', 60500 for 'eyebrows and tint', 40500 for 'hydrafacial near me' at difficulty 2. Difficulty scores mislead badly here. A 'near me' query is geo-personalized and resolves to the searcher's own city, so a Boulder directory cannot serve a searcher in Ohio, and the best any competitor manages is position 34 on the biggest one. The unqualified treatment terms (facial balancing, prf, microneedling aftercare) are national informational content owned by clinics nationwide and by the manufacturers. total_volume set to 0 because none of it should count toward this site's plan.
Competitor brand names, DO NOT CHASE NOTHING. 0 low Difficulty 1 to 7 makes these look free. They are not: a brand query is owned by the brand, and ranking for a competitor clinic's name would be both futile and a poor look for a directory that wants those clinics as advertisers. Listed so the pass is deliberate.

Flags

  • RESOLVED, August 8 2026: medical spa marketing was briefly assigned here and is now on seobeliever.com, along with the whole clinic marketing business. This site stays a consumer directory with one job. That is the right outcome: a geo-named directory was never going to carry a national B2B term, and splitting a small site between consumers looking for a med spa and owners looking to hire an agency would have weakened both. Nothing to build here on the B2B side.
  • OVERLAP WITH THE OTHER FOUR SITES IS GENUINELY LOW, and I am saying that rather than manufacturing a flag to look thorough. None of the 58 keywords pulled contains spa day, massage, wellness, self care, or a best-of-Boulder roundup pattern. This is the most topically separate of the five properties.
  • WATCH ITEM, not a live conflict: 'best medspa near me' (4400, difficulty 27 re-verified) is the boundary query with boulderthingstodo.com. Set the rule now, before either site writes: medspasboulder.com owns everything performed under medical supervision (injectables, lasers, anything with a provider), boulderthingstodo.com owns non-medical spa-day and massage as a leisure activity, and links across for the medical side.
  • WATCH ITEM: 'boulder skin bar' (1900, difficulty 4), the single most reachable keyword on this site, sits exactly on that medical-versus-leisure line. medspasboulder.com should claim it with a dedicated clinic page BEFORE boulderthingstodo.com touches the spa topic at all.
  • INTERNAL, not cross-site: 'boulder dermatology' (2400, difficulty 13) risks competing with medspasboulder's own homepage rather than with a sister site. Build it as a dermatologist-versus-med-spa comparison so the two pages target different intents.
  • NO CONFLICT with tasteboulder.com or outdoorboulder.com. newtoboulder.com is the only theoretical future touch, if it ever publishes a 'finding a doctor or clinic in Boulder' relocation page, in which case it should link out rather than list clinics itself.

trainerbooked.com

trainerbooked.com starts at zero keywords and competes in a category owned by funded incumbents, so be honest about the shape of the opportunity: the head terms are gone. 'appointment scheduling system' and 'online appointment scheduling programs' are difficulty 90, 'booking websites' is 89, and Calendly, Square, Setmore and Vagaro hold those SERPs. The biggest reachable bottom-of-funnel win is 'scheduling software for small business' at 1,300 searches a month, difficulty 10 and a $62.44 CPC, with the best competitor only at position 13, backed by the exact product cluster (roughly 470 searches a month at difficulty 1 to 8). The finding worth Annette's attention is elsewhere: healthcare scheduling shows 'health care scheduling software' at 1,000 a month with difficulty 1 and a $77 CPC, a far softer market than personal training, if she ever wants to point the same booking engine at a second vertical.

Where it stands today: 0 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 0.0, 0 keywords on page one.

dataforseo_labs_google_domain_rank_overview returned an EMPTY items array (US/en). No organic keywords in the Labs index. Competitors are SERP-derived from the seed 'personal trainer booking software'.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
supersaas.com 40 Yes live search results Ranks #3 for 'personal trainer booking software' with a dedicated /info/personal-trainers-booking-system page. A genuine mid-size independent scheduling company rather than a funded giant, so its long-tail pages are the realistic model to copy and beat.
appointy.com 40 Yes live search results Ranks #8 with /personal-training-scheduling-software/. Shows the vertical-landing-page pattern (one page per industry) that carries this niche, and it holds those pages with modest authority.
trainerize.com 40 Benchmark only live search results ASPIRATIONAL BENCHMARK ONLY. ABC Trainerize is the funded category leader, ranks #6 on the seed query with a blog post, and owns the fitness-software brand universe ('abc fitness solutions', 4400/mo). Included to map the category, not as a target. Its head terms are not available to a new domain.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Funnel stage Priority Why
The exact product terms (BOTTOM of funnel, small but yours) The homepage itself must target 'personal trainer booking software', supported by /booking-software-for-personal-trainers/ and /personal-training-scheduling-software/ as sibling pages. Include a real pricing table and a comparison against Setmore, SuperSaaS, Acuity and Trainerize. 470 bottom high Small volume, exactly the right buyer, and the difficulty is genuinely low: bulk_keyword_difficulty returned 1 for 'personal training scheduling software' and 8 for 'gym booking software'. The CPCs prove the value of the click, at $55.14, $44.27 and $58.86 respectively. Verified volumes from Google Ads are 260, 110 and 50, and 'fitness studio booking software' sits at difficulty 35. This will never be a traffic cluster. It is a customer cluster, which is the point.
Small-business scheduling (BOTTOM of funnel, the largest genuinely reachable term) /scheduling-software-for-small-business/ positioned specifically as scheduling for solo service providers who sell sessions and packages, not for retail or staff shift work. 1,300 bottom high 1300 searches a month at difficulty 10 with a $62.44 CPC, and the best competitor sits only at position 13. This is by a wide margin the biggest reachable buyer term in the whole gap set, and it is 26 times the volume of 'personal trainer booking software'. A trainer-booking product legitimately answers this query. Build it second only because the product pages must exist first to convert it.
Healthcare and patient scheduling (BOTTOM of funnel, high value, WRONG PRODUCT) Nothing yet. Flagged as a strategic decision, not a content task. 3,940 bottom medium The numbers are the best in the audit for this site: 'health care scheduling software' is 1000/month at difficulty 1 with a $77.22 CPC, 'medical scheduling software' is 880 at difficulty 10 with $59.25, 'patient scheduling program' is 590 at difficulty 13 with $58.84. Difficulty 1 against a $77 CPC is the kind of gap that rarely exists. BUT this is medical scheduling, with HIPAA obligations and EHR integration expectations that trainerbooked.com does not meet. Do not chase it with the current product. Flagged because if Annette ever wants a second vertical for the same booking engine, the data says healthcare is wide open and personal training is not.
Head-term scheduling software (MIDDLE of funnel, NOT AVAILABLE) Nothing. Documented so time is not wasted on it. 175,000 middle low BE BLUNT: these are closed. Difficulty 90 for 'online appointment scheduling programs' and 'appointment scheduling system', 89 for 'booking websites', 83 for 'online appointment scheduling app', 81 for 'appointments', 78 for 'booking appt app', 60 for 'free online scheduling tool'. These SERPs belong to Calendly, Square, Setmore, Acuity and Vagaro, companies with hundreds of millions in funding and a decade of links. A new domain will not rank here in any timeframe that matters, and every hour spent on them is an hour not spent on the two clusters above.
Online personal training and fitness content (TOP and MIDDLE, wrong audience) Nothing. Consciously rejected. 63,400 top low Large volume and completely the wrong side of the marketplace. 'online personal trainer' (6600) is searched by people who want to HIRE a trainer, not by trainers who want software. Ranking for it would fill the site with consumers who will never buy a SaaS subscription. The circuit-training and MyFitnessPal terms are Trainerize's consumer blog bleeding into the gap data.

Flags

  • 'online personal trainer', 'personal online fitness trainer', 'physical trainer online' and 'personal fitness coach online' (6600/mo each) attract consumers seeking a trainer, the opposite side of the market from trainerbooked.com's buyer. If Annette wants that traffic it belongs on a directory or a fitness content property, never on the SaaS site, where it would tank conversion rate and confuse Google about what the site sells.
  • The healthcare scheduling cluster ('health care scheduling software' 1000/mo at difficulty 1, $77.22 CPC) is the single most attractive set of numbers in this audit but requires a different product with HIPAA compliance. Flagged as a product decision for Annette, not a content task. It may also be a better fit alongside menopausepracticegrowth.com's clinic-owner audience than alongside a personal-trainer tool.
  • 'appointment plus', 'abc fitness solutions', 'club fitness' and 'myfitnesspal login' are competitor and third-party brand navigational queries. They are not gaps to fill.
  • The circuit-training keyword family ('circuit training' 12100, 'what is circuit training exercise' 4400, 'circuit training exercises' 3600) is consumer workout content from Trainerize's blog. It would be topically wrong here and, if Annette wants fitness content at all, SmartStrongAlive is the property that already has the audience.
  • Risk of self-cannibalization: 'personal trainer booking software', 'booking software for personal trainers' and 'personal training scheduling software' are near-identical intent. Google will pick one page. Make the homepage the canonical target and keep the sibling pages genuinely distinct (one on scheduling mechanics, one on payments and packages) or consolidate them into a single page.

rebuildingseminars.com

The biggest reachable win is the divorce recovery support group cluster at roughly 20,500 monthly searches, at difficulty 2 to 12, which is the lowest-difficulty block of real volume in this whole four-site audit. Rebuilding Seminars is also the only one of the four sites with genuine authority already in hand: nine keywords producing an ETV of 71.6, seven of them in the top 10. It is converting brand traffic and spending none of that authority on the queries its buyers actually type. The specific structural move that matters is copying divorcecare.org's group locator: its 'near me' rankings run through a dedicated finder subdomain with an indexable page per group, and Rebuilding has seminars in real places with no pages for them. Second priority is the healing-after-divorce cluster (about 4,300 searches), which is the program's own curriculum and needs no research. Ignore state divorce law completely, however cheap the difficulty scores look.

Where it stands today: 9 ranking keywords, estimated monthly traffic value 71.6, 7 keywords on page one.

The healthiest of the four sites, and by a wide margin per keyword. Only nine ranking keywords, but three sit at position 1, two more at 2 to 3, and two at 4 to 10, giving an ETV of 71.6 from those nine. Six are trending up and only one down. That profile is almost certainly brand and program-name traffic ('Rebuilding', the seminar name) rather than earned topical rankings, which means the authority to rank is there but no content has been built to use it. Labs competitors_domain returned an empty array; all three competitors are SERP-derived. Hosting on GoHighLevel rather than Cloudflare has no bearing on any of this.

Measured against these competitors

Competitor Ranking keywords Beatable Found via Why this one
divorcecare.org 1,482 Yes live search results The single most important competitor in this entire audit. It is the direct format competitor (a church-based divorce recovery group program), ETV 13,811, with 393 keywords in the top 10 and 54 at position 1. It owns the exact query set Rebuilding Seminars sells against. Much of its footprint runs through find.divorcecare.org, a group-locator subdomain, which is a structural lesson as much as a keyword one.
divorcedgirlsmiling.com 1,851 Yes live search results An independent divorce-recovery blog with 1,851 keywords but an ETV of only 2,577, because 328 of its rankings sit at position 11 to 20 and most of the rest are deeper. It proves the emotional-recovery content lane is winnable by an individual voice, and it shows what happens when you write a lot without a conversion path.
survivedivorce.com 2,009 Benchmark only live search results Included as a cautionary benchmark rather than a target. 2,009 keywords but only 2 in the top 10 and 1,367 below position 60, ETV 4,392. Its footprint is almost entirely state-by-state divorce law ('virginia divorce laws', 'nj divorce laws'), a legal-content play that needs fifty pages, has no conversion path to a seminar, and it is not even winning at it.

What to build

Cluster Page to build Searches a month Priority Why
Divorce recovery support groups (the win) /divorce-recovery-support-groups as the pillar, plus a real group-finder page at /find-a-rebuilding-seminar-near-you with one indexable page per location or per online cohort 20,470 high This is the whole answer for this site. Roughly 20,500 monthly searches, difficulty 2 to 12 on almost all of it, and divorcecare.org holds positions 1 to 4 across the set. Two things make it genuinely reachable rather than wishful: the difficulty scores are among the lowest in the entire four-site audit, and rebuildingseminars.com already converts brand traffic at position 1, so it has authority it is not spending. The structural lesson is the group-finder: divorcecare.org runs its locator on find.divorcecare.org and that subdomain is what ranks for the 'near me' queries. Rebuilding sells seminars in places; those places should each be a page.
Healing after divorce (the program's actual subject) /how-to-heal-after-divorce pillar, with /how-long-does-it-take-to-get-over-a-divorce and /lonely-after-divorce underneath 4,310 high Smaller volume, higher intent, and it is literally what the Rebuilding program teaches, so the pages write themselves from material Bob and Annette already have. Difficulty 1 to 26. The competitors are weak here in a specific way worth noticing: divorcedgirlsmiling and survivedivorce sit at positions 16 to 63 on most of these, meaning nobody has written the definitive answer.
DivorceCare comparison and alternatives /rebuilding-vs-divorcecare, written as an honest comparison of two real programs (format, cost, faith basis, who each suits) 4,260 medium High commercial intent: someone searching 'divorce care near me' wants to join a group this month. Difficulty 4 to 17. Two honest caveats. First, the bare brand terms 'divorcecare' (5,400) and 'divorcecare support group' are marked not reachable on purpose, because ranking for a competitor's brand name is neither realistic nor a good look. Second, the winnable variants are the generic 'divorce care' phrasings, and the page has to be a genuine comparison that sometimes recommends the other program, or it is brand-jacking.
Divorce and remarriage after 50 /divorce-after-50 with /remarrying-after-50 as its companion 2,850 medium Difficulty 1 to 4, competitors already at positions 3 to 9, and it matches the audience Rebuilding actually serves. It is also the one cluster where Annette and Bob's own story is the content, which no competitor can copy. Small but cheap and highly on-brand.
Recognizing a marriage that is ending /signs-an-unhealthy-relationship-is-ending (top of funnel, feeds the seminar) 5,310 medium The stage before anyone searches for a recovery group, and the incumbents are barely present: divorcedgirlsmiling reaches only positions 82 to 88 on the 'unhealthy relationship' terms despite difficulty of just 14 to 29. Good volume, low difficulty, weakly defended. Lower intent than the recovery clusters, so it earns a page after those are built, not before.
State divorce law Do not build. Recorded so it is not chased later. 0 low This is survivedivorce.com's entire 2,009-keyword footprint and the reason it earns an ETV of only 4,392 with just two keywords in the top 10. The difficulty scores look inviting (1 to 25) but it needs fifty jurisdiction pages, it is YMYL legal content a seminar company has no standing to write, and the searcher wants a lawyer, not a recovery program. Total volume recorded as 0 deliberately, because the opportunity value is zero. Skip it entirely.

Flags

  • CORRECTION, August 8 2026, and it governs everything else on this page: this business runs IN-PERSON 10-week cohorts at Niwot and Denver Cherry Creek and serves LOCAL attendees only. It does not need or want national traffic. The 20,500-search national cluster below is real data and the wrong target, because someone outside the Front Range cannot attend a course held in a room. Read every number on this page as national context, not as a plan.
  • What actually matters here is local intent in the service area (Boulder, Denver, Niwot, Longmont, Lafayette, Louisville, Broomfield, Superior) and being findable for a specific cohort. The Rebuilding project already has boulder, longmont, lafayette and louisville location pages and a local organic-growth strategy written in July 2026. The gap this audit found is largely already known and partly already built there.
  • The scoreboard for this site is seats filled in the next cohort, roughly 40 people three or four times a year, not sessions or rankings. A page that ranks nationally and fills no seats is a loss, because it costs effort and returns nothing.
  • 'divorce support groups' and 'divorce recovery support groups' both carry 8,100 searches and are the same intent. One pillar page, and let the near-me and demographic variants ('for women', 'men's', 'free', 'near me') be genuinely distinct pages only if each one has its own real content, such as an actual list of groups.
  • 'how survive divorce' / 'how do i survive a divorce' / 'how to survive after divorce' / 'how to get over a divorce' are one page, not four. With volumes of 320 to 480 each, splitting them means none of them rank.
  • 'divorce after 50' and 'divorced at 50' are one page. So are 'remarrying after 50' and 'remarriage after 50'.
  • CROSS-SITE FLAG: 'men's divorce support groups' (590, difficulty 2) and 'divorce support groups' (8,100, difficulty 3) also surfaced in buildamensgroup.com's gap list. They belong here, on rebuildingseminars.com, which has real authority and a real product behind them. Build them here and have buildamensgroup.com link across rather than compete.
  • CROSS-SITE FLAG: 'christian divorce counseling' (880, difficulty 5) and 'divorce prayer' (320) are faith-framed. Rebuilding is a secular program, so either commit to that content honestly or leave it to divorcecare.org, which owns it structurally through its church network. Do not half-write it.
  • A handful of these came back from bulk_keyword_difficulty with no keyword_difficulty value, recorded as null rather than guessed. Note also that 'divorcecare groups' returned difficulty 84 while its near-twin 'divorcecare support group' returned 6, which is what a brand-defended SERP looks like from the inside.

How this was measured, and what it cannot tell you

Worth two minutes. Several of the biggest-looking numbers above mean less than they appear to, and knowing which is the difference between a good decision and a wasted quarter.

Volume figures are search groups, not single keywords

DataForSEO clusters near-identical queries and reports the group's combined volume against every member. Six downtown and Pearl Street variants each report 49,500 with byte-identical monthly histories, and four hiking variants each report 14,800. Adding them together would overstate the prize by four to six times. Every total in this report is the group figure, counted once.

None of the five Boulder sites has a Search Console property

So their side of every comparison is modeled data, not your measured rankings. The competitor figures are solid, the estimates of your own position are not. Verifying those five in Search Console would make the next run of this audit materially sharper.

Some difficulty scores came back empty

Roughly half the long-tail variants returned no difficulty value from the bulk endpoint, including the city-qualified med spa terms (botox boulder, med spa boulder, lip filler boulder). Those are recorded as not measured rather than filled in with a guess. Where a table says not measured, that is why.

A relevance filter was applied to the Boulder pulls

An unfiltered pull sorted by volume returns national noise, such as "apparel stores near me" at a million searches a month. Adding a Boulder relevance clause fixed that, but it also hides named trails such as Royal Arch and Mount Sanitas, and every menu and price keyword. Those need a separate targeted pull, which is a known follow-up rather than a hole in the data.

Out-of-reach gap lists are capped at 15 rows per site

The full lists run to 40 keywords per site and the raw JSON holds all of them. The reachable tables are never capped: every reachable gap found is shown. Only the out-of-reach lists are trimmed, and each one says how many were left out.

Everything here is modeled third-party data

Search volume, difficulty and competitor position all come from DataForSEO's index, which estimates. Treat the relative ordering as reliable and any single absolute number as approximate. Nothing was estimated by hand: every figure came from an actual API response, and where a value was missing it is marked missing.
