Phase-2 backlog
Topics, sections, and recommendations that have been pulled out of Bob's Phase 1 audit report and held back for Phase 2 (the strategy-memo-plus-implementation engagement that follows once Bob has answered the §27 discovery questions from the phase-1 report).
The principle: phase 1 is diagnostic and foundational. It earns Bob's trust by showing what the current state is, what the 5 highest-leverage changes look like, and what a credible 3x growth plan could cost. Phase 2 is where the ambitious bets get introduced, once Bob has reviewed phase 1 and confirmed he wants to keep going.
What moved from phase 1 to phase 2
1. The book (Bob writing his own)
Moved on: 2026-04-20 (first full day of review) Previously in: §21 "The book & global licensing roadmap" in phase 1 audit report Why moved: too ambitious to introduce alongside a site redesign. The book is a 12+ month effort that turns the business model from "Bob runs cohorts in Niwot" into "Rebuilding is a licensed program in 20 cities." That is a conversation that should happen after Bob has reviewed phase 1, bought into the growth thesis, and the site redesign is underway. Introducing it on page 84 of a phase-1 audit risks Bob feeling the audit overreached.
Phase-1 treatment (after edit): Bob gets ONE question about this at the end of phase 1, in §27 discovery questions. The question asks whether he would be open in principle to writing an original book (with AI collaboration and a developmental editor, not from scratch) on his evolved Rebuilding framework, and briefly names the commercial case (anchor IP for certified facilitator licensing, credibility multiplier for referral partnerships, succession insurance). The question is introductory only; if he says yes, phase 2 opens the full roadmap.
What phase 2 will cover:
- The full book outline and voice approach (ghost-supported vs. solo, first-person vs. documentary-style, how to use the captured video transcripts from §14)
- Publishing path decision (traditional vs. hybrid vs. Amazon direct)
- Positioning vs. the Fisher book (framework differentiation, see §20.2 for the Fisher-estate analysis)
- The licensing / Rebuilding Chapter program that the book anchors
- Certified Rebuilding Facilitator curriculum
- Chapter economics, territory model, quality control
- Trademark filings specifically for "Rebuilding Chapter" and "Certified Rebuilding Facilitator" (currently in §20.1 as forward-looking protection)
- The IP holdco + operating co entity structure (already in §23 of phase 1, but the rationale gets reconnected to the licensing program in phase 2)
- 5-year revenue model and enterprise-value projection
Cross-references in phase 1 that got neutralized during the removal:
- §6 SWOT: "Bob's book + licensing model" opportunity bullet removed
- §13 Volunteer Architecture Tier 4 "Chapter Leaders" row removed
- §14 Video capture: "Chapter training asset" use case removed
- §20 IP Protection: references to "Bob's book", "Certified Rebuilding Facilitator", and the licensing-program strategic-reframe option all removed or softened
- §22 Risk Register (now §21): R5 Fisher-estate challenge, R14 Book-publication-fails, R15 Chapter-expansion-too-fast all removed; remaining risks renumbered
- §25 Insurance (now §24): D&O coverage line removed (was licensing-program dependent)
- §26 Succession (now §25): book and chapter references removed
2. (Placeholder for future phase-2 migrations)
As new topics get pulled out of phase 1 during review, add them here with the same structure: moved-on date, previously-in location, why moved, phase-1 treatment after edit, what phase 2 will cover, cross-references neutralized.
Discovery-phase questions related to phase-2 topics
When Bob answers the §27 discovery questions at the end of phase 1, the following answers specifically unlock phase-2 content:
- Book openness question (added to §27): if Bob is open in principle, phase 2 opens the full book + licensing roadmap. If not, phase 2 refocuses on operational scaling (more cohorts, parallel Denver operation, volunteer system) without the IP expansion.
As more questions get added specifically to unlock phase-2 content, list them here.
